Arsenal Women announced the departure of back up goalkeeper Anna Moorhouse on Friday, 15 months after joining from Doncaster Belles to provide back up and competition for Sari van Veenendaal.
Moorhouse played 12 times for Arsenal, but now moves to FAWSL newcomers West Ham United, where she will compete for the number 1 jersey with ex-Gunner Rebecca Spencer.
Moorhouse’s departure leaves a gap in the squad for a back up goalkeeper and it is likely to be filled by Lyon goalkeeper Pauline Peyraud-Magnin, who left the Champions League winners at the expiry of her contract last week.
So it’s time to move on….. Incredibly proud to pull on the shirt and can only wish the girls the best of luck for the season ?⚪️ @arsenalwfc pic.twitter.com/f3SLEN8qKo
