I am glad we went 4 at the back with torxhaka…This team won against spurs..lets do it again.

I dunno, I like packing midfield. Hipefully we can play the ball through the lines better with more options in midfield and let Laca and Auba concentrate on beating their defensive line.
Lacks width and Certainly Ozil is more prepared for a game like this than douzi! Ramsey further back and Ozil in the team! Come on Uní, it’s obvious that they are your best players! But, I think we can win, Chelsea are pretty ordinary apart from hazard and Willian. COYG

Is that a 4-3-1-2 with Ramsey behind Auba & Laca? Interesting. Would have preffered Ramsey as a part of the midfield 3 with Ozil as CAM, but this feels quite ok!
I hope he plans to sub guendozi for ozil and asks ramsey to sit deeper.
From the times we’ve tried, Ramsey and Ozil don’t really play well together. They always end up doubling up in the same spaces. I think it’s an either-or unless we’re in the clear or really chasing it.
I’m curious to see where he puts Ozil if he plays him.
Why 3 defending mids? Why not play 4-2-3-1 with an extra man in attack

Playing Ramsey who is practically gone and benching Ozil who is A LOT better than Ramsey is not a good idea.

Glad we have gone for a back 4 but 3 DMs is too negative, swap one of the DMs for Ozil or at the very least Iwobi. Too defensive again

For depth and variety, pinging crosses to giroud got us out of a few jams.

This lineup shows how little we have in the attack after Lacazette and Aubameyang. Really just Iwobi and Ozil off of the bench that can add anything to the attack if we are behind and you know regardless of the score Emery is going to sub out Lacazette.

Playing Ramsey is like when you just give your months notice in at work.
The focus is not there and you are not really going to be that bothered because you are leaving.
So why play him?
Ozil is the better option. We need creativity and for all Ozil’s faults it seems as if he wants to make the effort.

Clearly ozil improves the more he doesn’t play. I think this is a decent line up. Ozil has shown little appetite for these games. I Hope he comes on and does a job. But the right team starts imo.
Do all of you seriously think that Emery with all his ego will play Özil? No way. Do you think if we are chasing the game he will put Özil on? More likely Iwobi or even Monreal. And more if we are leading the game!! Özil is put on the bench is just for show, to pacify the rage of many fans.
From reading the comments and going by the ups and downs: I have no idea what the general public want.
I’m happy enough with the starting line up. Looking for Bellerin to have a good game down that right hand side, Alonso can be weak defensively. Same can be said for Hector though. Heads screwed on lads, 2-0 Arsenal. Let’s see some fucking defending.

It’ll be interesting to see how he’s shaping the mids. Midfield diamond with Ramsey up top, Torreira at the back, Xhaka L, Gwen R? Triangle with Ramsey AM, and Gwen man marking floater? 4-2-2-2? Or 3 mids and Ramsey in the free role? (I wonder if Ozil might appreciate that kind of setup).
