Aubameyang ruled out of Wolves game after sinus procedure

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is not in tonight’s squad to face Wolves in the Premier League after undergoing a sinus procedure.

The striker, and the club’s top scorer, is expected to be back for Sunday’s trip to Leicester.

Tonight’s teams can be found here. Unai Emery has gone with a back four, and deployed Mesut Ozil, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Alex Iwobi behind Alexandre Lacazette.

The Gunners are in need of three points to help get back on track after Sunday’s defeat to Crystal Palace.

Apparently he keeps getting his snots blocked.

This is deserving of praise

Could this not have waited?

If it is impacting on his ability to play (he hasn’t been his best for a few games) then I would say missing a game to get it sorted makes sense?

Maybe it’s to due with the same illness which has been troubling him recently and as it’s not resolving they decided to operate

martin

He looked as if he needed a rest anyway.

Thierry Bergkamp

If it’s anything like the sinus problems I’ve suffered with since last year, he’s done well to even play one match with it. I couldn’t even walk straight and the headaches were excruciating.

Richie

Aubameyang nose best.

Mark

Out with a sinus issue. You couldn’t make it up

Hantal

I hope this has only been done now because it means he’ll be back for the last games of the season. We have no options on the bench without him

Skinnyarse

This is a must win game, although there’s a name on the bench I’m worried about.

And couldn’t the procedure wait a few weeks?
Not like it was affecting his performance was it?
Right at the end of the season with so much riding on performances.
Especially with Wolves hammering Arsenal.
What a ridiculously brainless decision to put our best player in for surgery.
Emery is not a shade on Wenger.
Not anywhere close to the great man.
I would take Wenger back in a flash….
He was that good.
At his very best Emery is only as good as Wenger at his very worst.
There is food for thought…
What a shit season…
