Backroom staff facing punishment for second Palace bust-up

For the second time this season, a member of Arsenal’s backroom staff is facing punishment for a half time altercation during a match with Crystal Palace.

Earlier this season, Victor Manas, one of Unai Emery’s data analysts, was handed a one-match touchline ban and fined £6,000 for a clash at Selhurst Park in the aftermath of the home side’s opener; a penalty scored by Luka Milivojevic.

It’s now been confirmed by the FA that Ameesh Manek, Arsenal’s First Team Operations Manager, has been charged with misconduct for some fruity language and behaviour arrowed at Roy Hodgson’s staff fourth official Stuart Attwell and referee Jon Moss during our 3-2 defeat at the Emirates.

It sounds as though he’s probably facing a similar punishment as Manas, if he’s found guilty. He has until Tuesday to respond.

Glad there’s some fight in the club somewhere

Robin

Nice to see that he cares I guess, but why lose it with Roy Hodgson? Not like there were any controversial decision or their players were diving. They beat us fair and square

“Roy Hodgson’s staff…”

Does that imply that Roy is actually Gandalf..?

I find the amount of the fines interesting. I’d be surprised if a data analyst is on much more than £100k salary, so a £6k fine seems huge! Surely that’s what a manager/player would expect to receive for the same offence. Seems unduly punitive

Rummy

As a data analyst I can confirm that it will be a lot less than that!

Danger Mouse

Fruity language ? It all went pear shaped when Palace scored a peach of a goal and Manek went bananas.
