For fucks sake what’s so confusing, the fella’s just not good enough for the Arsenal football club, it’s that simple.
But he gave that interview then played 2 games after, did really quite well considering, then just vanished from the picture. It’s a shame because I can’t believe this is anything other than disciplinary now.
He didnt do well. RB should be able to defend. He made a serie of mistakes leading to Sheffueld goal and that was typical AMN, rushing out of scene
I think he did well enough. Other than his performance against Chelsea which was monumental, AMN has played better at RB specifically under Arteta.
Again, he never said he doesn’t want to play as rb. He just said he isn’t a rb by trade and is just about to learn the position so he finds the criticism he gets for making mistakes while learning it a bit unfair. That’s an absolute fair statement.
There’s only space for 18 players in the match day squad. A few are going to miss out. I wouldn’t read too much into it.
Ritchie he misses out on every squad and didn’t even appear in our heavily rotated cup game until the 90th minute. When it happens for every game it says something especially when Arteta chooses to play Papa out of position
What is so wrong with him saying he doesn’t like playing right back. He’s obviously been willing to play there, he just doesn’t fancy it. I don’t get this attack on his character, people saying he got a red card on purpose just so he wouldn’t have to play there. It’s dumb

We had three CB’s in the first 11 today though, if one needed to be taken off Sokratis simply gets to step into his natural position and Bellerin can slot in at RB.

Bellerin still needs to be managed with his game time, those ACL injuries leave a mark on a player for a long time…
Nice to see so much attacking threat from the bench, reminds me of Arsenal sides of the 2000s, we should have the goals if we can get it to click in midfield again. Tiredness shouldn’t be an issue after the rotation in midweek so I expect a better start.

Would rather have Nelson’s directness that we saw vs Portsmouth than Pepe today. Pepe was a shambles against Olympiakos.
Pepe was far from a shambles. Tries to be too clever army times but was still one of our best players.
Glad to see Nketiah keeps his spot in the line-up. Watched him last year at Wolves and he was hopeless but loving the improvement this year

We need a good performance today otherwise if it’s another ‘Olympiakos’ performance then I can see a 1-1 draw. West Ham were very good and confident at Anfield last week.

Arsenal playing passive aggressive football as always.. on the back foot. Wtf is wrong with playing AMN, Pepe can’t track back and Papa isn’t an RB by a stretch. Why force it? I like Arteta but this is kinda forcing it
Where is Mustafi? I like Ozil but I’m tired of him drifting out to the corner on the right where he becomes even more ineffective than he already is. West Ham have just been equally poor otherwise we’d be a goal down

I’d add Ceballos in there. It’s sad that Martinelli gets little game time. It’s also weird that all of a sudden “Nikita” is seen as good enough to be a starting striker?

This game needed a Midfilder (guendozi) to hold play and help absorb pressure but Bellerin was brought on instead. If he wasn’t fit to start why risk him?!
