Arsenal have confirmed that youngsters Charlie Patino and Zane Monlouis have penned their first professional contracts with the club.
The duo, who turned 17 recently, are both England youth internationals and regulars for the Gunners at under-18 level.
Patino, in particular, is highly-rated. The Guardian included him on their list of the 20 best talents at Premier League clubs and said: “Those who watch Patino regularly are in no doubt: he is a generational talent with every chance of going the distance.”
In an interview with the same publication released this morning, Steve Morrow, until recently our Head of Youth Scouting, also namechecked the midfielder as one-to-watch.
Best of luck to both Charlie and Zane, we look forward to following their progress at London Colney.
Good luck for Per-manent success!
Good luck to them both, hope to see them play in the senior team some day. Charlie Patino sounds like a name I would make up myself if I were to design a player in Fifa.
Let’s hope Charlie Zane gels…
I recently read an article that described Charlie Patino’s playing style as a hybrid of Jack Wilshere and Liam Brady. If he can keep progressing then we could have ourselves on heck of a player in time.
Great news for Arsenal and England.
