Arsenal Women will play Gillingham at Meadow Park in the Women’s FA Cup 4th round next weekend after the Gills saw Cheltenham Town off in Round 3.
Gillingham went behind in the first half but came back to win 2-1 after extra time on Sunday. The Gunners played Gillingham in the Cup in 2014 en route to winning the competition that season, when a double from Kelly Smith was enough for a 2-0 win.
The match is currently scheduled to take place at 2pm next Sunday, though BBC have yet to make their TV pick for the round, so that may be subject to change yet.
As it is coming up to five years since Dan Carter’s brilliant goal against Chelski last won us the Cup, it would be nice for Joe to have won it during his tenure. Unfortunately, this “season’s” competition won’t be concluded until after he has left us.
The draw has been kind so far. Get past Gillingham and Palace or the Bees await. You would expect those two rounds to be dispatched fairly easily! 🙂
