According to the latest bulletin from the Arsenal medical team, Mikel Arteta will have a full squad to choose from when Sp*rs visit the Emirates on Sunday.
Granit Xhaka has served his three-game suspension following his red card at Manchester City, Mo Elneny recovered from a hamstring problem earlier in the week and, touch wood, the training ground appears to be clear of the Covid-19 issues that hampered the early weeks of the season.
As things stand, Lucas Moura and Steven Bergwijn are doubts for Sp*rs after picking up injuries against Rennes in the Europa Conference League.
Arsenal are aiming for back-to-back league wins over Tottenham Hotspur for the first time since 2013/14.
A win over those lots sandwiched with a clean sheet will be massive.
Is it too much to ask for?
No. We can pull it off methinks.
They’re in shit form, so shouldn’t be a difficult ask if we manage to be more clinical in their box.
Mikel Arteta will have a full squad to choose from*
*barring any traffic in Muswell Hill 😬
I am always nervous before a NLD but I think we win this one. It will be close but I am going 2-1 for us. North London is RED!
I wish I can be as confident as you are. NLD always makes me nervous no matter the form we’re in. I guess that’s just part of the excitement. COYG!
Moura wud be a huge loss for them….. tore Citee apart on opening day, AND isn’t very Spursey
Great goal against us last game. Totally, incredibly, undeniably, unquestionably, definitively, indisputably meaningless.
But a good finish. I suppose. If you squint and pretend it’s Swansea.
Just remembered it was Lamela.
Now, he’s defo Spursey!
Human, but without anyone to love him….
Even the human aspect is questionable.
Compliments towards those lot are not welcome here
Paragraph 7, article 4 of the hating Tottenham constitution states…
“A good goal by that lot may be given lukewarm appreciation if it proves to be irrelevant in the overall result. In this sense it can be used as furthermore salt in the wound of a resounding defeat. Every time the offending supporter watches said goal, they will be filled with intense melancholia.”
Moura is pretty much their only player who carries the ball, at speed, through opposing midfields and creates chances for himself. As such, he sometimes really surprises opponents that are set up to stifle the Kane-Son axis. He certainly did it to us at least once that I can remember.
Clips of the Amazon documentary on Sp*rs keep appearing on my feed and I can’t help but click them occasionally. The one recently made me laugh because it was like, “Sp*rs have identified a top European talent as a potential transfer but will have to battle it out with a lot of big clubs for his signature” and to prove this they have Daniel Levy walking up and down a corridor on his phone. So I’m thinking, “Oh man, did they try and get Haaland? Or maybe they were after de Ligt or Fati”. And then the narrator was like,… Read more »
I am concerned though, that it’ll be people laughing at our stint on the “All or Nothing” show next year.. Not looking forward to it (but will totally watch every episode)..
Ours will go:
” Arsenal have identified a top European talent as a potential transfer, but will have to battle it out with a lot of big clubs for his signature” then cuts to Edu on a yacht partying like it’s 1999..
Xhaka being available for selection isn’t a “clean bill of health”
The stadium needs to be an absolute bear pit on Sunday, let’s fucking have em.
Come on Arsenal
It will be. Always is. This’ll be most of our teams first experience of it after the zero crowds at the last three NL derbys. COYG!!
It’s my sons birthday, but am sacking him off to go ( party on Saturday instead for the wee man).
Can’t you take him? WHEN (not if) we win it’ll be the present that lasts him through to his 21st!
Welcome back Granit. We only won 3 consecutive games without you.
It would be quite humorous if we are above them on the log after Sunday three weeks after they were top and we were bottom.
Two unreplied goals would be enough, I think.
Auba at the double; a Pepe curler rubs it in.
COYG
Well i will take this news with a pinch of salt, cause Arteta might overthink himself out again with his team selection. He has been better this past few games in his selections though and i hope he just keeps it simple with his selections and stop tinkering. I would maybe swap Auba for Lacazzette tho. No Xhaka, please!
I have a sneaky feeling that no team will do the double over us this season…
You fancy us at Stamford Bridge then?
Wouldn’t be the first time, Hats!
Who thinks Xhaka is going to start?
Arteta
No injuries or suspensions at all?
Is this the first time that’s happened since … well, forever?
