Arsenal have confirmed that Granit Xhaka is the only first team squad member unavailable for selection for tonight’s match with Crystal Palace at the Emirates.
The Swiss midfielder continues his recovery from a knee ligament injury picked up in the north London derby and is, according to the medical team, aiming to be in full training in early January 2022.
On Thursday, Mikel Arteta suggested that Gabriel Martinelli had picked up a small injury and might not be fit for today. He was subsequently pictured in training over the weekend and appears to be fine.
Arsenal play four games in the next 12 days with Villa and Leeds (in the Carabao Cup) visiting the Emirates before a tough trip to Leicester.
Win one game per time… No excuse is tennable
Come on you gunners, let’s have 3 points 👉 👉👉❤🤍
Off to the Emirates tonight, first time since the pandemic. Can’t wait to see the boys, sing for Patrick a bit and take 3 points at home. COYG!
Enjoy 😃
Need to change the date to Jan 2022, not 2021.
I got a hunch for two wins and two clean sheets this week.
We could be 4th by Friday night.
I really hope your hunch comes true. We have to start scoring and creating chances. Other than the scum first half we ain’t dominated in any game. It’s now or never for me with Arteta, he has to get this team creating. Only Norwich have scored less than us.
These 4 games are all against teams we should be winning/drawing against (certainly not losing!) if we want a sign that there will be a significant improvement this season. Let’s hope we take a good points haul.
Leicester away could be tricky. A draw may turn out to be a point gained in that one. Anything less than 6 points this week though would be disappointing.
If they expect Xhaka to return to training in January 2021, the medical team must have a time machine.
Well Vieira is back at The Arsenal tonight so it is the time for going Back to the Future.
Where we’re going Nainsley, we don’t need Central Midfielders!
Come on you Rip Roaring Reds
We need him back soon.
Elneny has fallen down the list a bit – Should we try Elneny out along with Partey in midfield for Crystal Palace?
Please no
No
I like Elneny, but he’s just not really good enough to start for us.
Maybe in the cup game with Leeds.
