Last week, Flores, who is also eligible to represent Canada and England, was named Player of the Tournament at the Revelations Cup after scoring in victories against Brazil and the United States.
The goals gave him an excuse to pull out a pretty incredible celebration that makes Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s flip look old hat.
The teenager, a recruit from Ipswich in 2019, has also been impressing at Hale End, netting six goals in nine appearances for the Gunners’ under-18s.
Should he make his debut, Flores will join the growing number of kids who are quietly making progress at full international level.
Karl Hein has been a regular for Estonia, Omar Rekik made his debut for Tunisia in the summer and Daniel Ballard, currently on loan at Millwall, is in the Northern Ireland set-up.
Most of us would have gone off injured if we had attempted that celebration!
I strained my eyes watching it.
Wonderful..i hrd someone say he is better than smith …i must commend the manager of our academy …they are doin a massive job i cant wait to see him ,patino ,omari, azeez ,akinola ,balogun sometime in d future playin
Not sure Akinola will ever get close to the first team but got to hope some of these exciting youngsters do. Balogun is nailed on.
Very encouraging by another Hale Ender, but with a nod to the Tractor Boys, he’s coming to boil very nicely. On the bench in the League Cup perhaps?
Well done to him.
Makes me wonder about Caralin Cirjan though, he was so highly rated couple of years ago but his international situation doesn’t inspire hope. Romania just gave a full debut to a 15 year old (Enes Sali), while Cirjan turns 19 tomorrow and hasn’t even been selected for the U-21 squad.
Can Jeorge Bird give an update on him perhaps?
Great idea, I’d love to know more about such is more likely to make it to the 1st team between Cirjan, Patino, Salah-Eddine, and Flores. Are they even similar players in terms of style and position?
U Gota admit that commentary adds alittle something to the match
I heard the commentator say “Arsenal” towards the end of the video. Made me happy.
Goooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooal.
it shocks me the way goals are commentated in england! i get the feeling england could score a bicycle kick goal in the world cup final and all they’d say would be… “woah, what a magnificent strike!” and keep going like nothing haha
Just imagine a Latin American style golagolagola goaaaalll but performed by Clive Tyldesley – it’s not quite the same.
Good one, congratulations lad go make arsenal proud and take your time to impress. Wishing you the very best
Save that schplendid bit of Mexican commentary for an Arsecast extra in 3 years time, blogs!
Wow. They keep churning out these incredible talents at Hale End. Long may it continue.
The new Luka Modric
