Partey has been getting through a mountain of work defensively these last few games, need AMN to do the same today
I like Lokonga overall, but seems a little lost defensively at times. Not for lack of trying but doesn’t have the nous at this point. AMN has to be on it to compensate

I am intrigued to see how AMN fares. I still like the look of him in midfield, I like the way he moves. If he can succeed then our January is looking a lot more comfortable. COYG

Well, it’d be Sambi for Partey and Odegaard at 8. I thought he did well dropping back there against Crystal Palace……I think that may be his best position long term, as he has the picture in front of him to pick a pass.
Sometimes he looks too one footed to be a number 10 IMHO……..he could become a faster Xhaka in the long run…
I think arteta has realised that odegaard in central midfield doesn’t really work for whatever reason. Maybe it will one day.
I thought that until the CP game…..you’re right though, maybe one for the future….just getting ahead of myself !
I have a feeling, whether by design or not, this is Arteta testing out the shape of the team in January. Laca can ably deputise for Auba but midfield is really where the chasm is. I hope AMN performs.

Love the consistency on the line up once again but for Partey. Way to go, MA! I love that I’m now struggling to choose between Tavares and Tierney. But what wouldn’t I give to have the same problem on every position?

I’ll take a 1-0 scrap and 5th/joint 4th going into the interlull. Watford have players who can hurt you and will likely be on top in phases of the game. I am already starting to see this only Watford vibe from some people. Take no team for granted (players or fans).
