Arsenal have drawn Manchester United at home in the Continental Tyres Cup quarter-final, with the tie to be played on 19th or 20th January. Arsenal have won the Conti Cup five times, more than any other team and have won its various equivalents (it’s the equivalent of the League Cup) 15 times.
However, they have not won the trophy since 2018 having lost the 2019 and 2020 finals and last season, they didn’t qualify from their group. On this occasion, they were spared the group stage due to their participation in the Champions League group stage.
Arsenal beat United 2-0 back in November and also vanquished them 2–1 in this competition at the semi final stage in 2019 at Meadow Park.
The Conti Cup Final will be played on March 5th at AFC Wimbledon’s Plough Lane.
