Arsenal Women draw Liverpool away in FA Cup 5th Round

Arsenal Women have been drawn to play against Championship leaders Liverpool away from home in the 5th Round of the FA Cup. The Gunners were 1-0 winners over London City Lionesses at Meadow Park on Sunday in the 4th Round.

The match will be played on Sunday, 27th February at Prenton Park, kickoff time is still to be confirmed. Arsenal have won the competition 14 times, more than any other club (Southampton are the closest with seven FA Cup wins).

The game takes place off the back of the February international break. This means Arsenal will have played the top two from the Championship in the Cup.

I know these are times of gender neutrality but we still differentiate between men’s and women’s football!
Back on topic, could be another potential banana skin up there on the Mersey. The Pool are 7 points clear of LCL and beating them at home wasn’t a walk in the (Meadow) Park.
Let’s hope our players return from the internationals injury free.

Question? As VAR becomes effective for UWCL knockout games this season. Have there been any announcements from the Club regarding where the Wolfsburg game will be played?
