Fine team. We should tear them a new one.. Payback!

A M

Need a win with lots of goals (scored by us obviously)

Hopefully without the 11 red cards though.

Was listening to the WHUvNEW game on the radio. Sounds like Dawson should have been carded at the very least for a very bad challenge but happened after a foul had been called. Is that a thing? Did we hear what happened at the meeting MA had with officials. The inconsistency is shocking.

GraeB

I watched it, not a foul really

GraeB

By that I mean the Dawson one wasn’t a foul. Serious foul play can be carded at any time, whether play has been stopped or not.

78/79/80

Thanks for the info. Radio thought he cd have been in trouble.

Nainsley Aitland Miles

Nevertheless, Willock did us a favour today.

Lanre

And surprise inclusion Omari Hutchinson on the bench. Hope we see the youngin make his debut before the season runs out. Another hale end gem about come through.

Johnny 4 Hats

I feel like this arsenal team let’s you know in the first 5-10 mins what sort of performance it’s going to be. Really hope we come out the gates hard and fast. No backwards passing, no CB’s hanging on too long, always moving forwards, no Xhaka wandering around with the ball at his feet.

We owe this lot some revenge. Let’s get it!

Johnny 4 Hats

Hopefully Cedric will be enough. Smart move if we win and Tomi is 100% for the next game.

Man, I’m fucking nervous. Imagine how the players must feel. Pressure building considerably. Really hope these young lads can keep their heads. A win today would be so massive and anything else really quite worrying.

COYFG!!!!!!!

goonero

It’s not the young lads I’m worried about, it’s older one’s. Laca, Partey and Xhaka need to be on it today

Man Manny

The best possible from the armoury, this line up.
3 points and a healthy goal advantage is a must.
A clean sheet will be a welcome cherry on the cake.
COYG!

Give youth a chance

So who’s getting our red card today?

Xhaka, or will they mix things up a bit?

Daveo

Mr impunity for sure

At home to a bottom 5 team, it’s not a game to be picking up needless cards. Xhaka needs to avoid a yellow as he’s slowly creeping up to 10 yellows – which would be a 2 match ban.

GraeB

I understand we have to nominate our red card before the game now – who would you select?

goonero

This narrative is so lazy, Xhaka doesn’t always get sent off ffs! That’s David Luiz. Xhaka’s brand of sabotage is far more varied. He gives away needless penalties and assists the opposition too, either directly giving them the ball or passively picking his nose while his man runs off him to score. Don’t underestimate the variety of his calamity!

Today is an opportune game to rediscover the sort of attacking rhythm we haven’t seen since December.

At home to a team out of form. And they don’t have Toney or Eriksen.

I fancy a 2-0 or 3-0.

Funsho Patrick

The bench feels decent…COYG

laudgunner

Pepe should be starting. Anyways COYG. Revenge time is Now!!

Nainsley Aitland Miles

Starting instead of who exactly?

bob

Exactly man, whenever I hear “Arteta hates Pepe! he doesn’t play him and should be starting!!”, the only thing I think of is do these people want Saka to be dropped or something?

Pepe might be ready to contribute, but he needs to demand playing time. If he can’t take his chances and is consistenly being benched by a 20 year old, then maybe that’s telling enough in itself to let this question die.

That being said, I’d love for Pepe to have a strong second half of the season after Afcon. We would certainly benefit from an in-form Pepe.

Indiegooner

COYG!
Meanwhile Joe Willock is probably going to take two points of West Ham!

Collibosher

Is that his first goal this season?

Carlos

Yup

Indiegooner

Yes. let’s hope he goes on another late season rampage and takes points of our other rivals.

Lacaubapepe

Under the circumstance, you can’t fault this line up! But if we desperately need a goal at a point in the game, bring in Pepe. Don’t just default to Nketiah !!! Meanwhile hoping that Willock’s goal is enough to cost the hammers 2 more points today!

Collibosher

It has!

Joe Wilock’s first goal of the season for Newcastle means West Ham drop 2 points at home.
Wouldn’t 3 points be really massive today, especially if the Spuds get turned over at the Etihad. COYG!!!

Mikels Arteta

Can’t wait for Saka to score and celebrate in Henry’s face

Public Elneny

Why do we always take so long over corners?

Leon

I don’t know why they don’t try Pepe up front.
Cannot be any worse than Lacazette can it?

Lacaubapepe

I know that feeling. But given the way MA sets up his team, we may not create as these many chances with Pepe who may not hold up play like Laca. We just need another CF who can do both – hold up play and score goals.

Ealing

We haven’t got that CF

Ealing

I’d be peed off if he takes off Laca for Nkietah

laudgunner

Take Smith Rowe off. Bring in Pepe.

Ealing

ESR just scored lol

Kostas

Refs really like us dont they?

Ealing

Not a bit

Billy bob

I know it isn’t arsenal related but don’t you just loathe Liverpool? Norwich were winning and now the bindippers score three!!

Billy bob

Revenge is sweet lol second celebritory cider 😍

Billy bob

Bull to the goal that VAR gave 🤬

Billy bob

Well we beat them despite VAR
