Date confirmed for north London derby

Arsenal’s much-anticipated trip to White Hart Lane has been set for Thursday 12th May – the penultimate week of the 2022/23 season. The match will kick off at 7.45pm and will be broadcast in the UK by Sky Sports.

The fixture was due to take place in January but was postponed when the Gunners successfully argued they couldn’t raise a squad due to a combination of Covid, injuries and players away at the African Cup of Nations.

Sp*rs didn’t much like that and their manager Antonio Conte has been stoking the fires ever since. It’s sure to be a huge occasion with both sides chasing a place in the Champions League.

Remarkably, more than three years after Sp*rs moved into their new home, this will be the first competitive fixture between the two clubs that will have away supporters present.

We’ve lost our two previous Premier League encounters there and a pre-season friendly. It’s time to change that.

Arsenal’s games on either side of the trip up the Seven Sisters Road have also been moved by Sky Sports.

Leeds United will now visit the Emirates at 2pm on Sunday 8th May (previously Saturday, 3pm) while our trip to Newcastle has been pushed to Monday 16th May with kick off at 8pm. For anyone making the trip to St James’ Park that is ridiculously inconvenient.

Arsenal’s final game of the season is at home against Everton on Sunday 22nd May at 4pm.

Oh dear

Alan Sunderland

?, if we’re afraid of the spuds we might as well give up. We’re better than them. Always have been always will be.

Thierry Bergkamp (Xhaka Out)

Hopefully there’ll be nothing at stake, other than them trying to clinch a Conference league spot

Man Manny

By then, Spurs will have nothing to play for. Mark my word.

That Newcastle rearrangement is a joke but we knew a long time ago that Sky stopped giving a shit about the travelling fans

Cygans Parting

Let’s hope we’ve secured 4th by then. That would really piss on Sky sports chips. Honestly 8p.m. at St James park what inconsiderate dickheads.

Aaron Ramseydale

Could be worse. Everton, Leeds and Newcastle should all be safe by then, so the surrounding matches won’t be against desperate teams in the scrap. Would be so sweet to consign Spuds to the conference league on their patch.

Making the trip to St James’s Park on a Monday, is inconvenient for fans.

But the extra days rest after the NLD is most welcome, particularly after they screwed us with the gap between the Chelsea + United games

Gooner7190

Just seen SheWore say there’s no trains back to London on the night of the Newcastle game 🤦🏻‍♂️

Arsene's Zip

Nice little news story and everything, but why have you put a picture of a toilet at the top?

Ask Jack Wilshere 😉

Whether the game by then is inconsequential or not , just beat those mfc’ers !!!

Teryima Adi

North London is definitely still red.
