Taylor-Hart makes an impact on return from injury

After over four months on the sidelines, Kido Taylor-Hart was finally back in action on Friday night as Arsenal U23s took on Manchester United.

Taylor-Hart came through the 90 minutes at Old Trafford unscathed and the winger seemed especially determined to make up for lost time.

He certainly managed to achieve that objective as he produced an encouraging display and provided the assist for Mika Biereth’s goal in the 1-1 draw.

Taylor-Hart is 19 years old and has yet to experience first-team football of any description. The prospect will be eager to address that issue next season and it seems likely that he will be sent out on loan for the first time.

A skilful player who is also capable of finding the net himself, Taylor-Hart is very talented but it will be interesting to see how he adapts to the demands of the senior game, especially with regards to tactics.

Arsenal have just one more U23 fixture remaining this season as they face Leeds United at Emirates Stadium on Friday.

Following that game attention will turn to next season and the plans for some of the older players in the group, such as Taylor-Hart. It will be hoped that a loan move can be arranged as quickly as possible to allow him to have a full pre-season at his temporary club.
