Arsenal have made a bid for Swedish forward Lina Hurtig from Juventus. The Gunners have been quiet in the market this summer with only goalkeeper Kaylan Marckese arriving this summer.
They have shopped for other targets, including Brazilian wide forward Geyse, who eventually went to Barcelona. While midfield target Jelena Cankovic looks set to join Chelsea despite Arsenal also meeting her release clause from Rosengard.
Reports emerged over the weekend that an English club had made a sizeable offer for Hurtig, who can play all across the front line. Arsenal is the club that has made the offer.
Jonas Eidevall has been on the lookout for a versatile forward to bolster his attack after the departure of Nikita Parris to Manchester United and his compatriot Hurtig fits the bill.
She has a contract with Juventus, now coached by former Gunners boss Joe Montemurro, until 2024 but is understood to be keen on the move with talks between the clubs expected next week. Hurtig has 19 goals in 58 caps for Sweden.
#calciomercato

Would be a great signing. Välkommen Lina!
A technically gifted team player with a nose for goals. I’d love to see her in red and white!
yes, make it real please, we need her.
Can anyone be kind enough to explain women’s transfers and fees? Is this a big offer?
over average, but not like 250 K paid by Chelsie to Wolfsburg for Pernille Harder. Because contracts are short, teams like to wait until the player is free agent, but not always is possible.
Would be a great signing! I really hope we get her. And while we’re at it, a holding midfielder please! Oberdorf would be the absolute dream!!!
We definitely need someone to ease the load on Wally through the season!
If Oberdorf is under contract she would probably cost more than what Harder cost Chelsea
I think I read that she just signed a new contract last summer
This summer. There were a lot of offers, Wolfsburg had to protect the value!
we can get her, if we pay millions for Pepe at the men’s teams, we can equally sign her, we really need depth and competition this season
Will Juventus be willing to part with her? I thought she was one of their best players
My mind goes back to the late 60s when I first started following Arsenal.
Transfer fees in the women game, are now what they were then, for men.
“Hurtig” means fast.
We need more signing
I’d love to see her join us 👍
