Confirmed: Salah-Eddine joins Hull City on loan

Arsenal have confirmed that Salah-Eddine Oulad M’Hand has joined Hull City on loan for the 2022/23 season.

The Tigers will have the option to make the deal permanent should they be impressed by the 19-year-old.

Signed as a free agent having spent his younger years on the books at Feyenoord, Salah, as he is known, has impressed for the club’s under-18s and under-23s over the last couple of seasons.

Having been on the first team bench nine times last season, the teenager finally got a taste of senior football in pre-season when he featured for 22 minutes against Nurnberg. As it turns out, that may be the closest he gets to an Arsenal debut.

A tricky operator who can play on the flanks or as a number 10, it’ll be interesting to see how Salah gets on in the rough and tumble of the Championship.

Earlier in the week, Hull boss Shota Arveladze explained why he thinks it’s a great deal for all parties.

“It’s an opportunity for him, it’s an opportunity for us to create more and it’s a good chance for both sides,” he said.

“It’s also a good chance for Arsenal to give the player a chance to play many games and give us the possibilities and options to use the more creative players in the team, we’ll play him in the hope he’ll create more for us.”

Best of luck to Salah in Hull.

Looks like a good deal. I hope he succeeds and the option isn’t mandatory so we can get him back in the fold next season. All the best to him

Best of luck to our Salaha

From that list, I think only Patino, Flores and Biereth have any real chance to become part of the squad. Charlie is future captain material, he is a true gem.

Miller and Rekik have some potential

I wonder what the fee is to make it a perm move. I hope he does well but I hope this doesn’t blow up in our face in a few years time if he is sensational and moves to West Ham for like £60mill!

By then we’ll have won the champions league 3 times and £60m will be chump change. We’ll just buy him back 😉

And Arthur Okwonko who has joined So Solid Crewe. He’s kept two clean sheets in five games so far.

And Balogun who’s having a grand time in France. Maybe these guys no longer count as academy if they’ve signed pro terms?

What is encouraging is that all the other leagues really want our kids.
