Highly-rated as he came through the academy, Azeez was fast-tracked into the senior set-up making his competitive debut for Arsenal in December 2020 against Dundalk in the Europa League.
It’s been slim pickings for the midfielder since then and even with our current injury issues he was never seriously considered as an option to fill in for Mo Elneny and Thomas Partey.
Imagine being a 19-year-old professional footballer sent to play in Ibiza for a year…what a gig.
Best of luck Miguel, enjoy the sunshine.
Yeah let’s send our best U23 CM out on loan before we get someone in, rot risky at all!!
Yeah let’s play kids the manager has deemed not suitable for 1st team football, not risky at all!!
Azeeeed! 🙂
The photo in the article looks as if he’s spent the last 12 seasons in Ibiza caning it
They photoshopped out the joint he’s holding.
But do they play football in ibiza?
They just do loads of eez.
Azeez is good, Azeez is good, Miguel Azeez is good (no shamen using that chant)
Playing professional football in Ibiza? Well played young man, and equally, fuck my life.
…and we never saw him again
I am glad we don’t scupper the growth process of our young players because the senior team has missing pieces. Good luck to him, away from the spotlight. Come back stronger!
That is up for debate, as he could have played some EL games, and provided depth during Mo’s injury. Nevertheless, the club must have considered he was not ready, and I’m glad he will be able to play week in, week out. Hope he will enjoy it, and we won’t come to regret it.
Bobby Pires surely had something to do with this, I hope Miguel does well and comes back ready for the first team, good luck to him. This may be the beginning of a good relationship between the two clubs.
I see a lads trip on the horizon to catch one of his home games this season…
One good season and then back. https://youtu.be/DkiB0l2onqU
