Arsenal have confirmed that James Olayinka has joined Cheltenham Town in a permanent move.
The 21-year-old midfielder moves to pastures new having spent the last 18 months on loan with Northampton Town and Southend United.
While he didn’t feature for the senior team in a competitive fixture he was part of the squad that toured the US in 2019 and scored a belting goal in a friendly against Colorado Rapids – definitely one to tell the grandkids about. He was also on the bench when we beat Liverpool in the Community Shield in 2020.
Best of luck to James in League One.
Cracking goal and Cheltenham isn’t a bad place to end up – got some nice Cotswold countryside nearby
Good race track.
Nothing like a day at the gee-gees.
Is this a free trasfer?
We got £50m for him.
Fucking Villa are such greedy cunts.
Come on Arsenal. £30m for Douglas Luiz.
They can take it or fuck off and hold on to a player who no longer wants to play for them and will leave them anyway on a free next summer.
Someone needs to the tell that lot that the days of Nigel Spink, Gordon Cowans, Peter Withe, Gary Shaw and Mark Walters finished 40 years ago.
A lot of Villa fans on here having a downvote! 😜
Purslow & the like have got some kinda weird feeling that Villa are our equal because they “beat” us to Buendia, you can have him lads, I’d rather Ødegaard & he was £12m cheaper. Should’ve walked away when they rejected the 2nd bid & moved on to somebody else cause we spent the whole day chasing a player that they’d told media outlets that they never intended to sell(while apparently telling his entourage they’d accept £20m & clearly flirting with us for us to bid 3 times)
Well I now hope the cunts get relegated.
And the more images we see of Steven Gerrard looking like a 1940’s schoolboy whose puppy has got to go to the vets and have James Herriot, Tristan and Siegfried all put their hand up its backside, the better.
Anyway, as Blogs pointed out, we could well snap up Luiz on a free next summer, if not sooner.
It ain’t over yet, much as that fucking smarmy smiling assassin dwarf in the shiny grey suit on Sky was trying to indicate all evening.
Always looked a classy player on the occasions I saw him play.
Best of luck, James!
Good luck to him.
Very difficult for any young player to break into the Arsenal first team these days.
Still, Cheltenham is a nice place to be…
Sort of a pleasant looking pitch there.
