Confirmed: Tim Akinola joins Chesterfield on loan

Arsenal have confirmed that Tim Akinola will spend the season on loan with Chesterfield.

Signed for the academy two years ago after being released by Huddersfield Town, the midfielder has been a regular with the under-21s/23s making 43 appearances.

He was sent out on loan to Dundee United in January but was hampered by injuries and only made one appearance in the Scottish Premier League.

Dropping all the way down to the National League is something of a surprise but hopefully, it gives him the experience of senior football that he needs to kick on.

I dont think we are doing a good job with loaning our players out.
WTF is he going to learn playing in the National league?
