North London derby and United games rescheduled in January

Arsenal’s games against Man Utd and Sp*rs in January have been unsurprisingly selected for TV coverage, and have been moved accordingly.

Our trip to White Hart Lane, which was due to take place on Saturday January 14th, now moves to Sunday 15th with a kick off time of 16.30.

The following week, it’s another Saturday to Sunday move, with the same kick off time of 16.30 as we take on Man Utd at the Emirates.

Both games will be shown live on Sky Sports.

Tough January, hope we get up and running at our best straight away, no World Cup injuries.

Great start to the.season, fingers crossed for the rest!

Fabulous

Said this in another thread, definitely is. Brighton (A) – this is end Dec I believe, Newcastle (H), Sp*rs (A), United (H). If we get at least 10 pts from these fixtures I’ll be one happy gooner!

Lasgidi Gooner

If we get 10 points from those games, we’re winning the league!

Chidi

We’re getting 12points

Teryima Adi

We take it one game at a time, Bro. Relax.

Boy Bastin

Potentially difficult games in the early new year. A chance though for revenge against Utd and a double over Sp*rs – but we’ll need to be on top form for both games.

Fabulous

Fingers crossed Partey, Jesus, Saliba and Martinelli comes back in good shape for both fixtures.

Aron

Not sure why they don’t just plan on televising the NLD every year anyway. Always an entertaining match, even for the neutrals. But especially good when Sp*rs get put in their place! COYG!

Martin R

They canโ€™t plan for any matches too far in advance. This is just normal.

Oddo

You’ve been down voted by some heart broken spurs fans.
Ha ha ha! They are such babies.

Qwaliteee

Iโ€™m all for going back to Boxing Day.

๐ŸŽต๐ŸŽต๐ŸŽต๐ŸŽต๐ŸŽต๐ŸŽต๐ŸŽต๐ŸŽต๐ŸŽตHark now hear the Arsenal sing
The Tottenham run away
And we will fight for evermore
Because of Boxing Day ๐ŸŽต๐ŸŽต๐ŸŽ„โšฝ๏ธ๐ŸŽต๐ŸŽต๐Ÿบ๐Ÿบ๐Ÿ˜Š

Sam

So first 5 games back
West Ham
Brighton
Newcastle
Sp*rs
Man U
So tough start but then Febuary/March much easier. If we can get 11+ points in these 5 games we’ll be in a good place!

Jakeus

You can potentially pencil in the re-arranged Man City fixture at the end of January/first of February….. There are mid-week cup games that could become available.

We’ll have a gauntlet but that would only put us in a better place on the back end should we get results.

Boy Bastin

Hmmm. If so, that means Newcastle, Sp*rs, Utd and City in a run of four games. That will really be a test of the squad (reinforced early – hopefully – in the January window). It could be a “make or break” period that will define the season.

Teryima Adi

Those teams are all there for the taking. They are not spirits-they are humans.

Nainsley Aitland Miles

Unlikely that Man City will be rearranged for January. That could be a big money fixture so TV/Premier League will want that closer to the end of the season.

Everton rearranged could be January though as we’re both out of the League Cup so there are dates available.

Goonerrific

This is true, but they canโ€™t exactly put back-to-back Arsenal v City games on at the end of the season.

Or can they??!!!

Qwaliteee

Clinching the title at Man City.

Jesus with the 98th minute winner.

Jonathan Pearce doing a Brian Moore.

And Martin Tyler left speechless.

Oh yes please. ๐Ÿฅ‚๐Ÿพ๐Ÿ†

Bleeding gums murphy

West Ham United and Newcastle are all at home I believe. We will start massive favourites in all three. We have 100% record at home. We are much better team than the scum and just need to turn up and play our game and we beat them. Hardest game will be Brighton away. Believe

Qwaliteee

We have got to smash the Scum in their own backyard.

The outside toilet.

Teryima Adi

One game at a time- that’s the mantra for this season.

Qwaliteee

6 delicious points. ๐Ÿ˜Š

Especially cannot wait for revenge at the toilet bowl.

And further revenge on the red Everton a week later.

COYG

Jimboslice

Haha here’s to hoping we shit all over it, and cunte’s vag grows forever bigger.

Qwaliteee

Badaab

looking forward to see which matches are selected ahead of these for broadcast in the US (usually its something silly like wolves v brentford) so they can try to push more people to the subscription app

Jakeus

The streaming service (nameless) is worth the 5 bucks, versus getting some cable/streaming rip off. Will show every world cup game (albeit in Spanish). Highlights and analysis too are great too.

Giuseppe Hovno

But there are so many free streams why even pay $5

timorous me

To be able to watch on my big-ass TV with the ability to pause/rewind while watching live or watch replays of games almost as soon as they’re over (on my big-ass TV).

Plus it lets my wife watch reruns of The Office endlessly while making dinner or something.

Qwaliteee

Youโ€™ve got it all worked out, havenโ€™t you mate? ๐Ÿ˜‚

Good for you!! ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ‘

Jacke

The Good Life ๐Ÿคฒ๐Ÿผ

Jakeus

Exactly right!

Those streams buffer every 60 seconds though.

escapepod303

Guess what they’ll say when facing us, tough f__king fixture

Jay

Great!

Stu

The Sunday game will follow arsenal v Chelsea women’s clash, will there be a dash across North London from a full Emirates to Tottenham?

Nainsley Aitland Miles

I’m surprised the police are allowing both stadiums to run matches on the same afternoon. Especially as WHL will take up considerable resources.

Fatgooner

Iโ€™ve seen that photo above used many times for an item about tv games. Itโ€™s a very old one.

Does anyone know who the players are in the photo?

Hayduke

The image was from the first televised match ever between Arsenal and Arsenal Reserves, in September 1937, so some of this lot: https://blog.woolwicharsenal.co.uk/archives/15018

Matt

Thanks a bloody lot from Al the australian goodness ๐Ÿ˜ก

AusDrexler

yep looking forward to rocking upto work Mondays on 2 hours sleep.

Mootilated

Our return to the League will be a tough one. I was worried, but then I saw City’s fixture list and it’s not so easy either. They’ve got:

Leeds (A), Everton (H), Chelsea (A), Man Utd (A), Wolves (H). Spurs (A). They also have a game against Liverpool which is TBA, and they’ve already lost against them, so fingers crossed.

Jacke

This is evidence of the progress we’ve made.

We are now looking at Manchester City. Arguably the team with the best squad in world football.
