The Sp*rs supporter who kicked Aaron Ramsdale in the back following Arsenal’s 2-0 win at White Hart Lane in January has pleaded guilty to assault and admitted to throwing coins during the match.
Joseph Watts, 35, covered his face with a scarf before clambering towards the Gunners’ goalkeeper and then legged it sharpish once a steward had pushed him back following his half-arsed kick.

Once his identity was confirmed, he was sacked from his job and he now faces “an immediate ban” from Sp*rs’ stadium; not much of a punishment *badum tish*, but we presume he’ll get more than just a ticking off from Uxbridge Magistrates’ Court when he’s sentenced.
[Update – Watts has been handed a 12-month community order, has to pay Ramsdale £100 and will have to carry out 150 hours of unpaid work]
While it’s all fun and games laughing at an angry mug from up the road, it’s also worth pointing out that the behaviour of Arsenal fans is also under the microscope after bottles were hurled at Manchester City’s Kevin De Bruyne during the 3-1 defeat at the Emirates on Wednesday night.
Arsenal have identified the culprits using CCTV – many of them thought to be teenagers – and they too are facing stadium bans.
Quick update from Stadium Management re : Bottles thrown at KDB last night – seat numbers and fan images identified, now to match up with Member info to see who was sitting there last night. Very young suspects (ie. Teenagers) for each object thrown

Facing the press ahead of the trip to Villa Park, Mikel Arteta was asked about the incident.
“Our fans were extraordinary in the game, supporting and inspiring the team. Obviously, there was an incident at the end that nobody’s going to tolerate in our stadium and the club is investigating that issue,” he said.
This stuff is so embarrassing, leaving aside the general idiocy of lobbing stuff, he’s scored and his team has won, I don’t think he really cares about your stupid plastic bottles. It’s not a win for you, it’s an even bigger L cos you just look like a dick. https://t.co/RhvUMOokDa

It was a bit difficult to deny this one with clear footage of the event. It’s hard to imagine what goes through his head for one moment that means he won’t be allowed into the stadium again,
Will the Spurs fan also be banned from the Emirates?
Curious how these bans work and how effective it is to restrict them from going to only one stadium
He probably received a football banning order. A ban from all games, everywhere in England. Usually a three year minimum length. Also includes requirements to prevent attending England away games.
Can also include requirements to report to police stations when specified games are on.
You can’t be attacking players , that’s so so barbaric. These fans are responsible for their actions. We trust the law to do the needful.
He’s certainly has paid a heavy price for his irresponsible action (sacked from his job along with the inevitable stadium ban) and it could get worse. A lesson there for any fans – including ours as the article mentions – doing (or thinking of doing) similar things in the “heat of the moment” or otherwise.
*He
Such a dumb way to lose your tickets and access to games.
Spuds fan banned from attending footy matches for 4 years? I thought crime wasn’t meant to pay!
What’s funny is that he won’t even miss spuds lifting a trophy. He’ll be back and cabinet will be as empty as always.
Hope he’s not related to Charles!
I’ll never for the life of me get why someone would pay the exorbitant prices that tickets cost these days to get to watch live Premier League football and then instead of doing that behave like a complete c*nt and try to hurt people, not to mention you will never be let into the stadium in your life ever again! That Sp*rs fans might be stupid enough to do it is less disappointing given low expectations, but I can’t effing stand seeing that from our own supporters, what idiots, why are you even supporting this club if you can’t minimally… Read more »
Emotion overload and beer probably got him to that point which has now cost him his job as well as being able to see his beloved c**ts
Add coked off his tits to that list.
@AAllenSport – absolutely love your description “covered his face with a scarf before clambering towards the Gunners’ goalkeeper and then legged it sharpish once a steward had pushed him back following his half-arsed kick.”
Plenty of malice and ill-intent, zero planning and execution. Throw in a generous helping of cowardice. 😂🤣😂
“Plenty of malice and ill-intent, zero planning and execution. Throw in a generous helping of cowardice.”
Wait… Neal Maupay is a Sp*rs fan?
I didn’t know that beating coins was a crime.
i’m surprised we haven’t got a charge for letting Ramsdale’s back in the way of the poor supporters foot.
If KDB was an Arsenal player, he would get an FA charge for inciting violence by walking the side of the pitch with a smug smile on his face.
Jail the little Tottenham scum bag.
Forever.
Totally out of order i know, being pissed up and your team lossed at home against their biggest rivals with the oppositions keeper winding them up is no excuse, the 4 coins thrown by this individual makes me sick, i have been struck once before by a coin at an away Villa game, i didn’t know what happened, only the shock then a trickle of blood to realise, my 11 year old son at the time was struck on the head by a coin thrown at a home game v Chelsea years later, we had to leave to get him… Read more »
Dude got sacked. His boss gotta be a gooner, or his boss just realized that if you support a club allergic to winning, you probably wont win at your job too
