We hear whispers that Arsenal will head to Los Angeles as part of their preparations for the 2023/24 campaign.
Details are thin on the ground and fixtures are yet to be organised but there’s even a chance the Gunners could play a friendly at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood; the state-of-the-art home of KSE’s NFL franchise LA Rams.
After a run of long-haul visits to the Far East and beyond, Arsenal have made the United States their preferred destination in recent years.
Unai Emery’s squad played matches in Colorado, Los Angeles, Charlotte and Washington DC ahead of the 2019/20 season. A year later, we were due to take part in the Florida Cup but withdrew late in the day after a Covid outbreak in the camp.
Last year, pre-season friendlies in Baltimore and Orlando were sandwiched between a game in Germany and an Emirates Cup clash with Sevilla,
Further back, Arsene Wenger took squads to LA and New York in 2016 and 2014 respectively.
In October last year, David Ornstein reported in The Athletic that the Premier League was preparing an “enhanced pre-season tournament” in the United States that could see “six Premier League clubs divided across two groups, each playing round-robin friendlies in multiple cities on the east and west coasts of the US.”
Usually, the “Big Six” clubs make their own arrangements knowing they have enough pull to sell tickets on their own terms but Ornstein’s report suggested one of them could get involved.
It remains to be seen whether that’s Arsenal, although you imagine the Premier League would love to have its reigning champions involved. 😉

Angering the football gods, honestly I don’t go for this kind of hoodoo anywhere else in life but with football it is actually like a religion and beliefs come in. Brave is the man who makes statement as bold as this.I notice… Read more »
They can visit Bruno Fernandes on the set of his new film “The flick in the chest that broke my nose”.
It’s already a shoo-in for next years oscar nominations.
😂
The highlight will be when he walks onstage to collect the Oscar, accidentally bumps into the microphone with his shoulder, and falls down holding his head.
I love the last paragraph of the write up.😀
why are you trying to curse us with that last sentence? completely unnecessary
Come back to Orlando!
