New date confirmed for Brighton’s visit to the Emirates

Arsenal’s penultimate home game of the season against Brighton on matchweek 36 has been given a new kick-off time after being selected for broadcast by Sky Sports.

The match was originally scheduled for 3pm on Saturday 13 May but will now take place on Sunday at 4.30pm. Manchester City will face Everton in the 2pm slot before us.

We have to wait another eight days before a time is confirmed for our final away match of the season against Nottingham Forest. It’s currently pencilled in for Saturday 20 May.

The final round of matches will all start at 4.30pm (BST) on Sunday 28 May.

The following day is a bank holiday in England which makes it ideal for a mega hangover and trophy parade around Islington. 😉

Brighton are tough this season, hope we have a good points advantage going into the match.

But, whatever happens, this season has beaten expectations by miles!!!

Anon

They made the mistake of trying to out-football us in the last game and got torn apart
Gave us a bit of a scare at the end tho

@jbrusty

They didn’t have Caicedo or Mac Allister playing on New Year’s Eve, so they should be more full strength for this game

At home though, we just have to play our game and we’ll be fine. We owe them for last season when they beat us at the Emirates

Anon

We didn’t have Jesus or Trossard 🙂

Momozemio

And Saliba, Zinchenko,….

Nainsley Aitland Miles

Saliba and Zinchenko both played in that game.

So glad to see people appreciate this season regardless of the final result. We all know the goal at this point, but whatever happens, this season has given me so much joy. I’m flying from Warsaw to London for the final weekend of the League and, as stressed as I am about the run-in, I’m confident that I’ll enjoy that visit wherever we finish.

Anon

Hopefully this is the level from now on. Win almost every game, and do it in style.

It might not quite win us the title this season but if we carry on like this surely the trophies will follow

Naked Cygan

I was happy with finishing 4th at the start of the season. Anything more is a bonus.

@jbrusty

They’re going to keep putting our games after Man City’s, allowing them to apply pressure on us to see if we cope with it

Anon

Been happening all season

Nainsley Aitland Miles

City have a game in hand though, so the pressure is on them.

By the time we go to the Etihad, they will actually have two games in hand.

Gooner7190

Unfortunately, that game in hand is West Ham at The Etihad & on last nights showing, West Ham couldn’t currently beat themselves!

Aleksander Włodarz

C’mon Gunners, you can do it!

StefanPsy

Because you mentioned the trophy parade. Is there any info when will the parade be? I’m from Slovenia, so I have to make a trip plan about it.

@jbrusty

A bank holiday Monday… Here’s hoping guys

Nainsley Aitland Miles

They’ll have to rename it The North Bank holiday.

Leon

Best not to jinx things by talking about parades just in case…

jeremy

no such thing as a jinx. The universe doesn’t recallibrate based on what one random fella says on the internet 🙂

Nainsley Aitland Miles

Well we can still have a parade for St. Totteringham’s Day anyway.

Jay

Next weekend, hopefully!!!

Serpent

The Brighton-ManC game is still undecided?

@jbrusty

I believe that is the case. Maybe waiting to see what happens with City in the CL?

They could have a huge say in the title race

Nainsley Aitland Miles

If City (hopefully) get to the CL semi’s, the only available date for the Brighton fixture seems to be the last midweek of the season, so sometime between May 20th and 28th.

Hopefully by that stage Brighton still have a chance of a European spot and they’re not on the beach already.

PeteyB

I am very much keeping fingers crossed they beat Bayern. Their fixture congestion could be important.

Man Manny

I am just glad this year’s run in is not about top 4. Barring any mishap of cataclysmic proportions, Arsenal can only finish second if they don’t get the title. That is already a massive success and a great launch pad for next season.
I am chuffed at the realisation that, come what may, the CL anthem will be heard again at the Emirates next season. I can’t wait for those hallowed Tuesday/Wednesday nights to return.

Collibosher

… and Thursday can be Sp*rsday again.

Gordy

As we red members can’t get to come to games as tickets just are not for us, thank goodness it’s on TV. I looked on a ticket site and East Stand Lower against Wolves cost £5,000.

Zenithreptile

Was crazy to hear there are 300 people looking at every 1 ticket that goes on the ticket exchange. I got a ticket to the Bournemouth game using three screens and refreshing them constantly for 2 hours morning of the match. Was well worth it.
Super happy for each and every game to be scheduled for TV times. Sucks they mess up travelling fans’ plans though.

Ebo

I do hope we don’t leave it until May 29th to have a mega hangover. Don’t get me wrong, I’ll take it any way we can get it, but I’d much rather we take care of business so well that we can have that mega hangover a week or two or three earlier. And then we can still have another mega hangover then too. And another one after that.

Duno

And another one. 😩
