Jonas Eidevall will field the same team that he played in the first leg against Wolfsburg tonight in the Champions League semi-final second leg. That means retaining the 3421 formation with Jen Beattie in central defence.
Manu Zinsberger keeps her place in goal with Lotte Wubben-Moy and Rafaelle either side of Beattie in defence and Noelle Maritz and Steph Catley as wing-backs. Lia Walti and Frida Maanum will play in central midfield.
Further forward, Katie McCabe will play as the left ten and Victoria Pelova as the right ten with Stina Blackstenius spearheading the attack. The only change to the squad sees Swedish forward Lina Hurtig on the bench after she recovered from minor foot surgery.
(3421) 1.Zinsberger; 3.Wubben-Moy, 5.Beattie, 2.Rafaelle; 16.Maritz, 12.Maanum, 13.Walti, 7.Catley; 21.Pelova, 15.McCabe; 25.Blackstenius.
Subs: 14.D’Angelo, 17.Hurtig, 18.Marckese, 22.Kuhl, 26.Wienroither, 29.Goldie, 59.Agyemang, 60.Harbert, 62.Reid.
Be so good to win and get in the final. It will wipe the smug smile of the face of Emma Hayes for starters 😉
What about Wolfsburg? Any important absentee?
Tough luck gunners on a night that will live long in the memory. Great semi final
Well that’s a damn shame but hey I am very proud if the ladies getting that far with half their first team missing
And it’s looked like yet another ACL
Couldn’t be prouder, thought they played excellently and made a dangerous Wolfsburg team look pretty ordinary at times. Really feel for Lotte, she’s come a long way this season. Now COYG for the WSL run-in, we really need that UCL spot…
Now we have to win all our remaining games in the league. Or we finish 4th and out of the UWCL next season
