Just having a listen… Having two 7/10 keepers is the reason why it makes sense to rotate. If either of our GKs were 9/10 she would be the undisputed number 1. Stability wouldn’t turn D’Angelo or Zinsberger into a 9/10 goalkeeper.
I think what matters in a 3ATB is the personnel. The Dutch are very creative with that system. They can play direct as well. We have so many creative players that I don’t think we have to lose creativity or fluidity just because we’re playing 3ATB.
Really want to echo the part about losing creativity or fluidity because of our game plan because that’s been my main problem with the team in the past two games.
Really liked the part where you talked about Jonas’s philosophy being primarily Out of possession. I think I didn’t notice this beforehand because so many teams sit back against us but in retrospect a lot of our best games imo have been as a result of our out of possession play(Chelsea at home in January comes to mind for me).I admit I was one of the dissenters of our performance against united because we didn’t want to keep the ball. If Mary Earps don’t sign for Arsenal next season, they have to go for Mackenzie Arnold, she doesn’t shine too much because she’s in a low middle table team, but if Westham is not in the relegation battle every year is because of her. we drop points last year against Westham, Westham play 3 at the back, is a good defensive formation, gives you a double block of 6 depending on the midfield setup, and Mackenzie skills are very good for a back 3 formation.

right.. I dont know enough about AFC women to disagree with any of it.. but I am sure I disagree with something. I need to learn and gain knowledge. So far, it is AFC. and women..
