Bench looking thin

EastLondonGooner

Still a few out injured 🙁

Johnny 4 Hats

Worrying, but I think we have enough to win comfortably today and then we can reset during the interlull.

I’d like to see Saka limp off today with 3 minutes to go. Preferably Martinelli and Saliba too.

Johnny 4 Hats

Obviously not actually be injured!

Mkh

Do you guys think there is any scenario that Ramsdale is back to the starting 11? I think he will not even if Raya deliberately scores an own goal.

He’s got no hair but we don’t care...

Unfortunately not. This has been unnecessary and shockingly handled by Arteta. You’re talking about a young Lev Yashin nominated keeper who was getting better and better and that no-one was talking about ‘regular errors’ and yet he was brutally taken out for no reason and for a player who is not remotely an upgrade. He also lied about the rotation thing, about subbing keepers in the 70th minute etc.

Canadagoon

Yes, a young keeper who was getting better and better, with great reflexes and a strong bond with the team and fans. But to ignore he made regular errors leading to goals last season is revisionist history. Poorly handled by Arteta perhaps, but not shocking.

Johnny 4 Hats

I predict a big day for Kai. 2 goal contributions minimum.

So glad we’ve found yet another player whose best position is RAM. Lol.

COYG!!!

Mkh

We have scored two goals vs Burnley in our last 5 games.

Johnny 4 Hats

We’re going to kill them.

If we don’t win by 3 goals or more, I won’t post on here again for the whole of November.

Johnny 4 Hats

A lot of Arsenal fans now praying for a 2-0 or 3-1 today!

Johnny 4 Hats

Aaaahahhhhhhh! Just seen the spuds final score!!!!

Hahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahahaahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahahahahaha

Lol

Public Elneny

Watching Ange’s gradual, inevitable deterioration from affable Aussie chap to raging man child who makes Klopp seem sort of chill is going to be a joy to behold

PeteyB

I want to join you, but we really need to win before I feel confident enough to let loose.

Austin Peavy

I for one, am ready for Dark Havertz era

Henrik

lol sure. hes not…very good you know 😀

Shaolin

COYG!

Man Manny

The international break couldn’t have come at a better time. That will some needed break for the wounded to recover.
Glad to see Saka fit to start though.
3 points please.

Chipper 49

No Benni Blanco at all . Has he picked up a knock ?

Sean

Not a clue. Shouldn’t be a concern for this particular game, but ever notice how many of our injuries never seem to be apparent during an actual game? Jesus against Sevilla is the only one I can think of in recent memory. Feels like the way we learn about injuries is checking in with the starting line-up and going ‘wtf, where’s he gone?’. Only later do we learn they picked up a knock in training or something. Zincenko, Partey Odegaard, White, Trossard, literally take your pick from one week to the next.

DefaultGray

Hopefully just ill. Plenty of players missing a game for sickness this season.

Ebo

Imagine if we didn’t have Tomiyasu to literally plug into any hole and know he’ll do great. No Zinchenko? *ploop*. Ben White out? *pluckety pluck*

That said I hope Benny’s OK

Kiwamya

We also bought Timber for hole plopping, just been unlucky with his injury

Paul

Googling “pluckety pluck”… 🙂

BigFudge

Has Odegaard been called up for international duty?

DefaultGray

Am I the only one surprised to see Jorginho skipper the side instead of Rice or Saka? Not complaining, just surprises me.

Johan

I was impressed with his efforts to keep the heads around him cool in the Newcastle game.

He’s got no hair but we don’t care...

I’ve been saying this for a while. Especially as Jorginho often gets subbed.
Rice should defo be captain.

Fatgooner

Thank you, Tottenham Hotspur Football Club.

Thank you.

Fezec

That was fucking hysterical!

Wengerball

That ending was wild. Put a smile on my face!

Hurensohn

Particularly with the commentators sucking off their manager all game for not complaining after the Chelsea match even though they were lucky they weren’t sent off earlier with their full-back getting a 3 game ban.

Fatgooner

Ben White “Ill” according to Arteta on Sky Sports just now.

Johnny 4 Hats

Tell us something we don’t know. Kid’s fuckin sick.

Fatgooner

Actually, a few people didn’t know, knob. That’s why I posted.

Thierry Bergkamp (non negotiable)

I’m sure I just heard Arteta say he had a few issues, going into the Sevilla game, and hasn’t had time to recover.
Must need my ears tested.

Henrik

Too many chelsea players in midfield. Good thing its only burnley.

Theo

VAR is never going to give a call for us ever again. From now henceforth we must make definite moves that even VAR or the ref can’t nagate without compromising themselves

Public Elneny

Saka and Trossard aerial juggernauts!

Hope Tross is ok

Theo

Our depth is good enough. They just haven’t played together long enough to anticipate each other’s moves
