First half goals from Gabriel and Mo Salah ensured that spoils were shared at Anfield this evening, leaving the Gunners top of the table at Christmas.
It was at times frenetic, and Liverpool missed the best opportunity of the second half when Trent Alexander-Arnold hit the bar, but Mikel Arteta’s men deserved a point to take back to London.
Here’s how the players rated this evening.

Felt Rice deserved a higher score.
Agree, was all over the place as usual and hate to think of how this game would have turned out had Jorginho been in there instead of Rice.
It was Rice and Raya vs 5 Liverpool players, and they won out… Just!
Thanks to anfield pitch as well, the ball went up just before Trent kicked and hit the post
I lost count of the number of times Declan rushed back to save Zinch’s blushes when he went wandering off into forward midfield and left us exposed at the back.
He really needs to take 40% of his wages and split them between Rice and Big Gabi !!
He is the man of the match for me
Absolutely, he was immense. 88% pass completion in a game where he had to play so many midfield positions alone; astonishing. He is a Rolls Royce player, but he needs help.
Saliba is an absolute monster!
No. 🙂
Nice guy monster perhaps!
Superman reads William Saliba comics
I love Saliba, Rice and Big Gabi. They’re just all so good, always putting in incredible performances. Merry Christmas Gunners, top of the table!
Really would loved to have had Tomiyasu at left back for this one.
Agreed and that’s not even taking Timber into consideration—such a shame he’s out for so long.
It’s ok. He’ll be raring to go next season for our League and Champions league defences 🙌🏼
This comment is grossly underrated.
Hear hear – we have a phenomenal 3 man defence… plus Zinch, who simply cannot cope one on one with any kind of pace and trickery. This is aggravated by his wont to drift up the pitch and his inability to anticipate long cross-field balls (T A-A repeatedly caught him out!) – meaning that he is already back-pedaling when trying to defend, rather than being able to simply stand his ground and ‘read’ the oncoming attack.
How he allowed Salah to come in-field onto his better foot, rather than showing him the goal line, was a rookie error!
I don’t want to pile it on, but I’m going to.
Let’s not forget the less than intelligent failed cruyff turn against Salah when on the back line. And that was only one of his sloppy turnovers in dangerous situations.
Timber, fast and agile, would have been perfect for defending against Salah today.
0/10 for the groundskeeping crew at anfield- shameful pitch.
also please, nbc sports coverage, notice the other 21 players on the field who are not trent alexander arnold- it felt like they were doing a fan breakdown video. unlistenable. shame on you lee dixon.
Lee Dixon always tries so hard to be not be pro-Arsenal, that he over does praise for the other team.
The opposite to TNT sport I guess, who actively encourage their pundits to lean into their personal allegiances and basically turn themselves into the televised version of youtube fan media. They even do it from the commentary box too (looking at you, Rio). Shit from all angles in mainstream sports media, and it reminds you of all the brilliant work Blogs, and the arsenalvisionpod guys do week in week out- both to entertain us and help maintain our sanity. So I guess this is just a long winded comment to say a very happy xmas break to all of them,… Read more »
The Utd pundits on TNT are unbearable. Especially Rio and that tool Robbie Savage. There was a champions league game (that they inevitably lost) where there were periods of several minutes that were just moaning and shouting, it was worse than the Sky Sports Fanzone back in the day.
G Nev surely is this worst for this.
The man from the Walker’s crisps advert isn’t far behind. he can’t hide his jealousy.
He is always an apologist for whoever we’re playing. I enjoy the games he commentates are better with the sound off! Poor jealous old sod!
Seriously. I have never seen so many players slip over on a football pitch in the EPL in one game. Freaking nuts.
can you imagine if tsimikas had clattered into arteta instead of jabberjaw, who was wandering onto the pitch again? just insanity
It nearly cost us a sending off.
How long can they keep the running joke about the refs name going?? Boring commentary.
Dixon “I feel like somethings about to happen”
Why does Saliba not get a 10?
he could have scored a hat trick
… and he didn’t take out Klopp.
Poor showing on his part imo.
We lost control at times tonight, but did enough for a point, and did not do enough for 3. Had Trent hit the net instead of the bar near the end it would have been harsh on us.
I’ll say it again – Zinch is a decent footballer but he is simply NOT a left-back!
Arteta persisting with this square-peg experiment has already cost us points… and may well cost us the title.
It just ain’t working Mik – sawt it aaht, mate!!!
To be fair,I don’t think Arteta has much of a choice. You could almost be certain that Zinc wouldn’t have started this match if either Timber or Tomi was available. Some say Kiwior, but I don’t think Arteta trusts his ability to invert into midfield.
Inversion at any cost? Why?? At the risk of repeatedly conceding sucker-punch goals… just doesn’t stack up, mate. Kiwior or Tierney (yes, that lad!) would create a brick-wall back 4 and allow us to win these difficult grind-out games on the counter.
Shouldn’t have let Tierney go
The only reason he’s not there is we can’t keep him fit
Heart in my mouth stuff on that counter so considering that, a draw is a good result.
What was up with the pitch though? Never seen so many players sliding.
Top of the league away to a tough team. Who are challenging. 👍👍👍👍
Statement.
Statement would have been a win. This just leaves everyone still staring at each other… Good point though, but not a statement.
Agreed. Dropped two precious points there last season and two more this
Declan is like 2 platers and Saliba’s composure is borderline arrogance (in a good way). First 2 names on the team sheet for sure.
Mate, this is such a perfect description of Rice and Saliba! Shout out to Gabriel also, he was amazing and scored a crucial goal.
6 is harsh on Kai. Fair enough he almost put gab gab gab off for the goal, but he did the cynical stuff well without being sent off and threaded the play on occasion
He was excellent again today Time to leave the old Havertz rhetoric behind imho ! We look a better side with him in it
Nope.
“Excellent” is too kind. He worked hard, and played some good football, but I thought he was slow to interchange with our other players and blunted several attacks. His yellow was silly, and is he now suspended? I like him, but his footballing brain needs a boost or he needs a few more hours of playing time to click as an Arsenal midfielder.
He offers nothing significant on offense or defense. He is not athletic enough, skilled enough and he doesn’t work hard enough to compensate.
He has four goals in his last eight games? Check my math, but that may make him our leading scorer over that span?
Think 5 is harsh on Zinny too. Saka has 2 players against him every time he gets near the ball. Zinchenko was constantly one on one with the best winger of the last PL years. Did well on quite a few occasions, got roasted once. Gabriel saw that coming, wanted to go over to help but the midfield was too slow to cover for him in the center. Depressing goal to concede as we knew that this is our weak spot, especially against a guy like Salah.
Gabriel should’ve rushed at Salah to help Zinchenko, you don’t let Salah get a shot off his left foot in that area under any circumstances. You know he’s going to shoot 9 times out of 10, and if he passes it, Saliba is there
He wanted to, he waved several times at his team mates to cover for him and mark Gakpo. No one came so he had to stay with him and leave Zinchenko alone.
Zinchenco is being asked to play two positions which gives the team greater control of midfield & a bigger attacking threat but it leaves the team exposed on the left side. It’s obvious he needs extra cover. When he doesn’t get it he picks up all the blame…& against Salah too.
I feel it’s generous to say ZInch is being ‘asked to play 2 posititions’: he is left-back – meaning his primary responsibility is defence we have ample ‘play-makers’/distributors in defensive AND attacking midfield (Rice, Havertz, Ode, Jorge, Benny Blanco can also pick a pass and even Jesus does some brilliant distributing – and there’s Partey to come back) Zinch wants to be involved in the attacks – and, on occasion, he does this really well. But at what cost??? His continual drifting out of position has – and will – cost us points. He does not have the defensive nous… Read more »
I don’t think Zinc is ‘drifting out of position’. He is doing precisely what the coach wants from him.
So Mik told him to nick the ball off Martin’s toes?
To get rinsed every time an attacker takes him on in a one on one situation?
Somone asked me recently, whose the best left back still at the club? Then it hit me: Saka broke into the 1st team under Emery at left back and was a damn sight better one on one defender than Zinchenko.
Why does Zinch allow him to come in-field onto his left instead of showing the line and forcing him onto his right? Has he never seen Salah play? Was he dozing during the pre-match prep sessions?
That was a school-boy error which cost us 2 points – not the first time and I fear it won’t be the last.
The fella is just NOT a left-back. End of…
Because it‘s the job of a left back to defend the space around the touchline. If the winger cuts inside, your left center back should help out there. That‘s what Gabriel wanted to do but the midfield didn’t took over his man so he couldn’t do it. There were a lot of errors from our side that led to that goal but blaming Zinny for everything is way more comfortable of course. Arsenal fans just love a scapegoat.
OK – so what’s your ‘explanation’ for Zinch trying to turn Salah in our third of the pitch???
Not making anyone ‘a scapegoat’ (perhaps avoid the go-to hyperboles in future?) – rather simply pointing out the Zinny is NOT a title-winning left back, but is being expected to play there.
Beating Citeh and the Scouse to this title will require grabbing every single point we can and NOT gifting the better teams easy goals when we’ve just earned a vital lead, in their backyards!
Or don’t you want to win the EPL?
Lucky to get 5. Many of Liverpool’s chances came from his errors. What was he doing trying to take the ball off Odegaard’s feet for the breakaway. Needs to keep out of it and it would have been our ball, should provide cover and a passing opportunity. Seems unaware at times. Love him when on his game but concentration seems gone this year.
Many of their chances? They barely had some. The goal and the crossbar shot from TAA. That was it.
Only because Declan and Big Gabi repeatedly saved Zinch’s blushes – as they have done too often this season.
He is playing left-back… DEFENDING is his primary role. And he is really not great at it.
Zinny is quite important to the way Arsenal play at the moment. However I am sure this is a game he would have started on the bench if Tomiyasu has been available. I also think for gam s such as this Arteta should start a proper defender against Salah. What would I have done differently ? Play. Kiwior at left back and play Zinny in the left 8. That experiment has been long overdue. Arteta should give it a try.
I thought he was beaten more than once, but it’s Salah. Z showed Mo the wrong way before the goal; he needed to herd him towards the line. Gabby had the center of the six yard box to think about so he can’t just vacate it as soon as Zinny loses a step on Salah. And it was a superb finish to beat Gabriel and Raya. Again, though, he doesn’t do that right footed, and Zinchenko knows that.
Zinchenko is Arsenal’s Alexander-Arnold. Liverpool solved their defensive issue by moving Trent into midfield. Is Areta so stubborn that he can’t learn from a more successful and experienced manager than Klopp?
5 is too generous. I’ll state it plainly for you:
Zinch is playing left back. His primary role is to DEFEND. This, he just cannot consistently do.
His allowing Salah to come in-field (onto his better foot!) rather than showing him the goal-line route, was the most rookie of errors.
He directly cost us 2 points (and his drifting up-field out of position almost cost us the 1 point we did get!). Watch the replay of that Scouse 4 man break-out… 3 Arsenal lads are sprinting back, whilst Zinch is jogging like it ain’t his problem!
We’ve come a long way from when we used to dread Anfield. Winning was a distinct possibility if one or all of Martinelli, Jesus or Saka had been more composed. We could equally have lost it too if AT-A had kept his composure too. Fair result I guess, but I really thought we were going to win.
Martinelli must have had many unsuccessful dribbles and ball dispossessed from. Higher than usual.
I don’t understand his play this year. seems so scatterbrained. He’s just dribbled the ball right out of bounds so many times. Needs to beat his man and rifle in a cross, but he just dribbles and dribbles and dribbles to nowhere.
To who though ? We have no target or instinctive movement in the box to cross to as was seen tonight numerous times That happens then you stop putting the ball in ! Jesus is brilliant but he’s not that kind of striker We need that Ian Wright kind of player ! Please just another Wrighty ! It’s Christmas !!!
Good point. I wonder if ESR would be In the box more than Havertz?
Bring back Lord Bendtner ?
God no! But we could certainly have had HFB for 1 million quid!
Nah, you keep putting that ball in. Saka did it a few times, even though no Arsenal players accepted the invitation. Martinelli could on a couple of occasions fired it across; who knows what would happen? In his defense, the Liverpool defender over there did a good job.
Felt he was off tonight. Occurred to me he might be sick or just too worn dowm.
I think his game has suffered from the loss of Xhaka on the left. Zinchenko plays a little further back and centrally. Xhaka was more like Odegaard in how far forward he would play. Havertz hasn’t taken up the same positions as Xhaka. Additionally, Xhaka stayed wider than Zinchenko/Havertz does. I think Zinny and Havertz have left Martinelli a lot more exposed.
Credit to Konate… he is a world-class beast of a defender.
Agreed. He was brilliant. No-one was getting past him
Martinelli looks some way off his best. Would a rest benefit him? Just like Ødegaard
He needs to be instructed to release the ball faster.
Today I caught myself screaming at the TV about five times because he was soooo reticent at times.
Just receive it and let it go faster if you are crowded.
Fair point – but too often there was no-one in the box. I kept thinking what he could have done with a Giroud running lines into their penalty area.
Saka looks tired too and many need a rest, but we just don’t have the depth with this run of games to rest any key players. Luckily we don’t play again until Thursday so get a bit of a break compared to other teams which is much needed as West Ham is going to be another tough opponent.
Every time Reece has played recently he has looked good. I think he should be getting more game time. That would benefit us in multiple ways, making him more match sharp & helping keep Saka or Martinelli slightly better rested.
His name is Reiss though.
Reece, Kiwior, ESR… not like we don’t have some options to allow rests
Motm liverpool pitch maintenance guy, quite sure they soak the part where saka need to run a lot more than the rest of the pitch. Martinelli final third decision making is worrying.
Martinelli , coming off the bench today like against City would have been great. His last few starts have not been impressive. I feel he needs to start from the bench to for few games to get his groove back. Riss Nelson should be good enough to start in Marti’s place for the first 45-50mins.
I like Martinelli and he’s only 22, but I’m not sure he should be a nailed on starter for a team challenging for the title.
First choice starter, though, given that it would be Trossard or Nelson if he wasn’t in (or ESR if he ever gets healthy).
Martinelli is a problem we need to solve…I don’t know why he plays ahead of traossard
He is a lot faster, for one…
He’s a pressing and tracking monster. He gets no overlapping support. He banged in a winner against City (that goes a long way). I love him.
And he’s a nightmare to defend
If you’re a PL right back, you wee yourself every time his name is mentioned.
Usually, yes, but today he’s where counterattacks went to die.
Not even our players know what he’s going to do next…
It was great to see Eddie’s hunger and agility. I hope he’ll repeat it week in, week out.
. . . for another team, and we have a real striker.
Wierd foul that got called on him. Bit of a heavy touch, but got there first. Defender stood on his foot — and Eddie got yellow. Wtf!
He also didn’t get a foul for being hauled down from behind. Ref was poor today but in the context of this season had an ok game
How was Odegaard’s blatant hand ball not penalised? Ref had a blinder
Don’t know what you were watching mate if you thought saka and odegaard were better than havertz. Thought Saka was very ordinary, got into a lot of good situations and final ball was poor. Same goes for Odegaard, for the amount of ability those 2 have they’re execution was very poor.
Agree. Sala couldn’t handle his man at all. All 3 were in the 5.5 – 6.5 range. Average.
Saka. WFT spellchecker – is “sala” even a real word?!
Can pass for a Liverpool player
Freudian slip. Understandable given the opposition actually have a striker fit for the purpose.
Saka was not very good, hasn’t played well all season. Saka Odegaard and Martinelli need to pull their socks up a bit. They are paid like superstar players, not producing like it.
Saka’s had a pretty average season so far…I feel he’s more constrained in this latest evolution of Arteta’s vision…
agree with that to an extent. if we all know he’s coming inside to receive the ball in a certain way, so does everyone we play against.Think it’s more than tactics though, saka martinelli and odegaard paid like superstar players, not producing like it.
I thought Saka and Odegaard were both poor and the latter miraculously lucky not to concede a penalty
Yeah that was a penalty no doubt. I notice not so much moaning about refs this week on here…
Agreed, it’s pitiful. To paraphrase Sartre, if the PGMOL did not exist, the paranoid delusional football fan would have invented them
Thought Havertz was one of our best players tonight – at least a 7 for me.
Stark contrast in Nketiah’s pressing tonight. Very good today, also bears question why he doesn’t do it in other games. Can’t see tactical reasons for it but what do I know.
Eddie’s pressing isn’t a thing, it’s a stick people on here use to beat him with that said he was useless and were proven wrong. He obviously plays to the instruction of the manager
I saw 37yo Ramos outsprinting freshly subbed Eddie after playing ~90 minutes.
Struggled with the Havertz rating ? I thought he kept the ball really well & linked play nicely ! Raya beaten at his front post for the goal ? Sped past him but top keeper saves that ! I’ll take the point today & leave it with Saliba & Rice are different level !
I hope you’re not suggesting it’s a goal Ramsdale would’ve saved, as he has let in a few at his near post as an Arsenal player.
Havertz passes backwards or sideways and not very fast either. He did not link play nicely. Maybe he’ll get up to speed eventually, but he’s not there now.
I think Arteta sees what you’re not. Havertz may not quite be completely up to speed, but his calmness and technical ability are definitely giving us a greater solidity in midfield.
He’s improved (4 goals in 7 games is not too shabby) but I simply don’t rate him. Why does he start ahead of Trossard, Smith-Rowe, Elneny or Jorginho?
The answer is he shouldn’t. Arteta risked his neck on this signing and is determined to try and make it work even though this player is nowhere near 65mil and what we need to improve on after Granit. This will bite us on the ass at some point…
There’s a higher upside to Havertz than those guys right now, and Kai is doing a decent (not great) defensive job. If ESR can get back to his long-ago form, then he’d start. Arteta may be stubborn but he’s not blind, and he wants to win.
1000/10 for Saka wiping out Klopp xxx
For me Martenelli gets a lower score. If a defender makes an error and concedes a goal he gets a 5 range score. Martenelli has the keeper out and doesn’t hit the goal. One of many mistakes. Deserves a 5 on the day did not do his job properly.
But harsh he slipped on a pitch that was wetter than harry kanes shirt collar.
That’ll be ol’ Ferret Face who’s snaffled 18 in 12 for Bayern – hate fucker but man I’d like a goal-and-a-half a game striker right now!
Oh same 100%. But that doesn’t change the fact I’d refuse a slice of his birthday cake after he blew out the candles.
The keeper was closing him down and there were three other Reds in front of goal. It wasn’t all that high a percentage chance. But Martinelli did seem off, especially in decisionmaking.
Trossard can’t take a corner to save his life! 🤦
They weren’t good today. He’s been better.
Long time reader. First time commenter. Overall, the team played great and I’ll take a point at Anfield. The midfield bossed the match after Pool made its subs. Odegaard and Rice were able to find the space they wanted. This midfield is becoming more cagey and experienced by the match while the defense is becoming a wall. They limited the explosiveness of Pool. At no point did I feel that Pool were going to overrun Arsenal. That’s huge. Zinny is a known quality on defense but he contributes so much ball retention and progression. Gabby should’ve been more alert to… Read more »
Zinny has one primary role… defence. You’ve said it yourself – Declan and The Viking are more than capable of bossing the midfield and, with Benny chipping in the odd cunning long ball, we do not really need another ‘play-maker’. What we need is a rock-solid left back – Zinch has already cost us more points than he has created, on balance. And that will only get worse as the better teams target him with one-on-one pace and learn to exploit his positional wanderings. I really like the bloke but NOT at LB – he could well cost us the… Read more »
If Timber or Tomi were fit, I’m sure they would’ve started. Kiwior is decent at LB but we just watched him get repeatedly roasted by that PSV winger so I imagine Salah would’ve done the same. Just really unlucky with injuries in the fullback positions right now unfortunately.
EVERY team we play targets zinny if he’s playing…been saying it since pre-season…we are very weak at LB…
I think Havertz deserves a higher score. His defensive work was impressive throughout.
Timber or Tierney at LB. Inversion means nothing.
0/10 for sky sports commentators saying it was ‘Man City’s week’ despite them still being 6 points behind us
Rice is our best player…
Saliba is our best player.
Glad we have 2 players (rice and saliba) who will always be arating of 8 to 10 every game. That’s rare to find. Hope we can find another one or two of those to strengthen our already strong squad. Coyg!
Yes.
Victor Osimhen.
Big Gabby deserves a shout in that 8+ every game.
10/10 for Klopp taking out Tsimikas twice, literally🙃
I guess I need a rewatch because I thought entire front three and Martin were really poor today. Martin grew into it when we had to control in the dying minutes, at least. Lastly zinchenko man. Getting to the point that bad outweighs the good.
Positives: all other defenders and Declan m’f’n Rice. Just unbelievable
Zinchenko was a 1 for me – could’ve cost us at least 3 goals and cost us 1. He dwells on the ball far too long and I honestly think he thinks he’s better than he actually is. Trying to turn Salah in our own half, constantly trying to dribble when he’s no good at it and he SUCKS at defending. Poor all round. Martinelli was a waste of a shirt too. He has no end product, yes he can run but do something? He ran the ball out of touch like a youth player far too many times. He… Read more »
Yes, Zinchenko has been a liability at the back from day one but Martinelli has been one of our best attacking players for at least 2 seasons and will continue to improve on his decision making and end product. He’s still only 22.
Can someone tell martinelli stop looking the ground and running into a defender that just in front of you.
Havertz a 6!? He was really good. Come on now that’s just nuts
I am really looking forward to see timber in the games likes this one. I guess Arteta bought him for these kind of games where we need to defend more and hold the play. Not criticising Zinchenko he has been amazing for us and I like him.
Yea I agree. If Timber or Tomi were for then Z would be benched. I still think Z is incredible but him against Salah was always a tough ask
Spot on mate, we gotta wait for couple of months to see what timber can do.
Sorry but we have to admit that Zinchenko is extremely awful in defending. And what bothers me most about him sometimes is that he acts as if he’s the best player on earth, perhaps thinking that his disastrous mistakes will go unnoticed.
I know he’s a very good player but his mistakes are just too bad and very frustrating to ignore.
We are doing well and in order to achieve something, I think we need an upgrade on fullback positions as well as a proper cover in midfield and striker positions.
100% – I love his spirit and passion but he is just NOT a left-back. Not sure why Mik persists with him there? Him vs Salah was always going to be a disastrous mismatch and we paid the price – just lucky it was only once.
He didn’t have anyone else to play there yesterday besides Kiwior, and as much as I like Kiwi he gets roasted when he’s isolated in space.
He’s an inverted asset
The pitch was doctored against our style of play, causing our technical players like ordegaard and martinelli to struggle. It’s the kind of tactic you expect from Stoke city and Tony pulis not Liverpool and klopp. Check the pitch on Liverpools next game, it will be prestine
Imagine asking us to play outdoors on grass with a ball. Bastards.
There’s been a lot of fkn whining on here this year…:)
So Klopp turned the Kop and the water sprinklers up to ‘Eleven’ and they still couldn’t beat us?
My favourite part was Saka’s double tackle on the Greek Witch and his German Master..
Harsh on Havertz. He was sharp.
He’s improved yes, and 4 goals in 7 games cannot be ignored, but I can’t see why he starts ahead of Trossard, Smith-Rowe, Elneny or Jorginho? As broadcaster Simon Jordan noted in a recent edition of TalkSport, he might be some sort of elaborate tax write off for the club
Saka and Martinelli had a very “quiet” game, especially the latter. Saka is looking tired and toothless, while Martinelli seems absolutely lost on the pitch.
Saka toothless. What u smoking bro
I think he’s been below his best for quite a while. Still has the ability to alter games with a moment of brilliance but a lot of defenders have him worked out now
Tomi greatly missed. He eats up Salah. At Emirates last season, when Klopp took him off, Tomi had to come to the sideline to take him out of his pocket.
Solanke in the Jan window anyone? Big lad upfront who can score in this league…
Yes I’m sure he’s available and his club will happily let him go for a small fee because it’ll make no difference to them at all.
Oh… hang on…
Swap Nketiah
Sell Eddie and Rambo to fund the Oshimen deal, the new Drogba to come terrorize PL defenses. Thoughts?
Played well in patches but thought we were more composed against Brighton. In our thrid we seemed afrai od Liverpools press (understandably) and Rice, Gabs, Saliba all kicked the ball away far too often. Much better after 55 minutes when we found the calm to keep the ball and move Liverpool around. Agree re comments on Martinelli – Gomes, etc kept picking ball off him, on his heels when ball across from Saka too often.. Zinchenko needs to be less careless against quality sides. Saka, Saliab, Rice, big Gabi, Odegaard, all brilliant.
I just came here to say how much I love Declan Rice. Bye!
Shout out to the best centre back pairing in the league. Gabi and Saliba are next level. Both were superb. Come on you gunners!
Does the armband come with a bonus point? Or is it the Christmas spirit?
I think the 5 vs 1 Liverpool counter faltered a bit when the attackers realized it was Rice they were up against. The attackers lost confidence of getting past Rice
Zinch… 5 rating is generous, I feel. Blog quotes: ‘Periods when we had control, he was fundemental to that…’ On the contrary, more than a half-dozen times when ‘we had control’ he was the root cause of us losing it! I cannot fathom the continued crooning over his ‘attacking prowess and ability to control the game’ ? Yes – he can be good on the ball, and yes, he can find a killer pass. But he also frequently gives it away cheaply or over-hits ambitious passes… He is invariably out of position because he drifts up the pitch looking ‘to… Read more »
ZCD Zinchenko Can’t Defend. He and Jesus were allowed to leave Man City for a reason
Love that blogs pointed out the Trossard corners, I love the guy but I can’t remember him ever putting a good corner into the box. I know this is probably recency bias, haunted from yesterdays game.. but I genuinely can’t!
I would give Martinelli a rest. There is no end product from him at the moment. Trossard for Havertz and nelson for Martinelli v West Ham?
