It was confirmed yesterday that Mauro Bandeira has returned to Arsenal after his loan spell at Colchester United came to an early end.
The all-action midfielder had been due to spend the whole season at the League Two club but both clubs agreed that he should return to Arsenal early.
Bandeira made eleven appearances in total during his first loan spell, which included nine games in League Two.
However, a knee injury didn’t help his cause and he temporarily returned to Arsenal in November for treatment.
Bandeira is now back at London Colney again but it may not be for long as it is possible that he could go out on loan again before the end of this transfer window.
The 20-year-old found himself on the fringes of the first-team squad at Arsenal last season and was named on the bench for three senior fixtures.
Prior to that he had featured prominently at youth level for Arsenal having joined the club as a schoolboy from QPR.
A midfielder who possesses both defensive and creative qualities, Bandeira has also played at right-back on some occasions and will now be looking to gain further experience of senior football.
