Confirmed: Bradley Ibrahim signs for Hertha Berlin

Arsenal have confirmed that youngster Bradley Ibrahim has joined Hertha Berlin for an undisclosed fee on a contract until 2027.

The defensive midfielder, who can also play centre-back, moves to Germany to progress his career after impressing with the Gunners under-18s and under-21s.

“I was very pleased about Hertha’s interest,” said the 19-year-old after completing his move.

“The club has a great history and offers young players the chance to establish themselves in professional football. I want to use my potential now and continue to develop.”

Benjamin Weber, Hertha’s Sporting Director, added: “We have always emphasised that we will keep an eye on the market and take advantage of opportunities as they arise.

“That was the case with Bradley. He is an exciting defensive player with great abilities and great potential who should strengthen us in the future.”

We’ve done a bit of business with Hertha Berlin in recent years, loaning them Matteo Guendouzi in 2020 and signing Omar Rekik from them three years ago. Presumably, that relationship came in useful for both parties.

All the best to Bradley for the next step in his career.

Good luck, Brad! Stay healthy and show them what you can!

yes

I don’t know if you did it on purpose but I love the hilarious implicit negativity of the phrase “show them what you can”
