The U17 European Championship will take place in Cyprus between May 20th and June 5th, and Arsenal are likely to have at least three representatives at the tournament.
New signing Brayden Clarke helped Wales to secure their place at the finals and the defender’s experience could prove to be key as he was also involved in the competition last year.
Schoolboy striker Chido Obi-Martin is set to represent Denmark at the tournament. Obi-Martin has frequently found the net at youth level for Denmark, who he now seems committed to despite having previously played for England.
Ethan Nwaneri, meanwhile, was hugely impressive for England U17s during the Elite round qualifiers as he found the net in each of the games against Northern Ireland, Hungary and France.
Such is his quality, it could be argued that Nwaneri should be playing at a higher level for England, but he will be eager to help the Three Lions go all the way at the U17s finals, especially after they were beaten by France in the quarter-finals last year.
Myles Lewis-Skelly has also often previously featured for England U17s but the midfielder wasn’t included in the latest squad. It is still possible that he could be involved in the finals.
Meanwhile, Ceadach O’Neill, who could join Arsenal from Linfield this summer, was part of the Northern Ireland U17 squad that was involved in qualifying but his country couldn’t secure a place at the finals.

Great to see, good luck to all three. Especially Ethan (as an England fan).
Is that Ramsdale’s younger brother in the photo?
Congratulations to them. Two of them (Obi & Nwaneri) are also eligible to represent Nigeria through their parents.
Only 3 players from Arsenal out of 16 teams and only 2 of them coming from the Arsenal Academy isn’t exactly cause for celebration…
