I was wondering when the arsecast was going to drop….now I can listen on train on the way to Devon. Hurrah!
Wow, what a brill podcast. They are always excellent, but this is so useful…I’ve been arguing with know-all boys in the Athletic commenrs about what a great asset mariona is for us, while they are just saying cr*p like ‘barça reject’ ‘ better players we should have got, etc’. This knowledgeable and insightful ‘cast means i can just point them to it and tell them to listen to the experts! I am very excited to see her play for us, as long as jonas doesnt try to make her a 6 or a goalie 😁
In my humble opinion Mariona best position is false 9 or 10, behind the striker, Media punta in spanish, creating attack sutuations, she started playing left wing when Lieke left the club, In arsenal we need someone fast like that Lieke Martens, I would prefer Mariona as a “media punta” and get someone like Sveindis Jonsdottir in the left wing free spot, and try to emulate that Barcelona attack. Again my personal opinion is Mariona is at the same level as Aitana and Alexia but shes not Catalunyan so the spot light was not on her.
