I know it’s highly unlikely given the parlous state of refereeing in the Premier League this season, but wouldn’t it make a refreshing change if we could talk about the game at Newcastle next weekend and not have to reflect on some major balls-up by the officials that negatively affect Arsenal.
I prefer not to comment
We have a far bigger game midweek to worry about. How will we cope against Preston without so many of our top defenders?
We can safely concluded that Saliba’s red card cost us 5 points, not just 3.
I love the way Arteta handles the press. He gives them nothing.
He says something the press don’t want to hear, but adds a smile and they cannot pursue it further.
Nothing is exactly what they deserve
I didn’t watch this game because I had other things to do. Easy choice in the end because I’ve not exactly been enjoying premier league recently. I did however catch the extended highlights. Anyone who has read any of my previous comments probably looks at me as a tin foil hat conspiracy theorist as I am quite clear on how bent I think the league is. Not just against us, but anyone who isn’t in the pocket of nation states. And so naturally, I thought before the game that a draw was the most likely result. We were missing really… Read more »
Hear hear!
Well, I’ve posted this before, but maybe you should put this into your conspiracy data-base. Anthony Taylor was the referee in our last two FA Cup finals, both of which, of course, we won. In each game he sent off a Chelsea player, including showing a second yellow to Victor Moses for simulation. So, he sent off a player for diving! In an FA Cup final! How in the world can you think he is biased against Arsenal after that?
I don’t follow your logic. I don’t care whether he likes Arsenal or not. Or whether we won a game once when he was in charge. It’s not about Anthony Taylor. It’s not even really about Arsenal. It’s gone beyond bias. It’s about PGMOL influencing games for the benefit of their nation state benefactors. It’s affected Liverpool just as much as us.
If PGMOL influenced the game, it had to be through Taylor, that’s the logic. I think you must be saying that PGMOL told Taylor to do whatever possible to get a draw, because that was the way to help City. So, you should think about that and see if you actually think that is what happened. And–for what it’s worth–the Premier League as an institution is engaged in a total war with Man City, with hundreds of millions of pounds at stake. Nothing would suit the Prem better than City’s downfall. So, PGMOL’s conspiracy is directly contrary to the interests… Read more »
Azpilicueta committed the most blatant red card offense you’ll ever see in the first half. Remember that one???
