Welcome to a brand new episode of the Arsenal Women Arsecast, the number one podcast about Arsenal Women.
In this episode of the Arsenal Women Arsecast Tim and Jamie gleefully pick over the bones of Arsenal’s 3-0 win at Spurs on Saturday and they talk about some of the things interim manager Renee Slegers has tweaked, tactically and in terms of soft factors. There is analysis of the game and some of the key performances. In the second half, Tim and Jamie answer listener questions on whether Slegers should keep the job full-time, how far is the transformation down to tactics and how far is it down to a change in energy and Tim and Jamie think about some of the challenges that might lay ahead. Then there are questions on Frida Maanum’s form and which of the current squad has the potential to be the best in the world in their position.

Any word on Bayern? If its at a smaller ground I’d rather go to the Palace game. I have until noon tomorrow to ask a family member with a ST to book their ST for me to use
Interesting observations on how the manager, whoever it might be, will have to move on from managing individual matches to strategic oversight of transfers and team building.
For something different, a little cameo I observed. At the end of the match, as players walked round the pitch, Bethany England applauded the Arsenal fans as she went past our corner of the ground. She may not be one of ours, but she’s a class act.
My concern about whether Renee stays or not is that she needs to rotate the squad, in my opinion the team is stabilized, that Arsenal are not like City who lost a championship due to depending on Bunny Shaw or a game recently due to being dependent on Lauren Hemp and Laia Alexandri, if Chelsea lose a player or more, they will still do well in the championship, because they don’t depend on anyone to achieve victory.
