Arsenal Women’s FA Cup tie against Bristol City at Meadow Park on Sunday has been moved from a 12.30pm kickoff to 3pm and a pitch inspection will take place on the morning of the fixture.
The game has been moved to later in the afternoon to give the game the best chance of going ahead with subzero temperatures expected over the weekend in London. The later kickoff creates time for work to take place on the pitch if necessary and to advise supporters of a postponement should one be required.
In the meantime, Arsenal’s good form in December has been recognised as Alessia Russo scoops the Barclays WSL Player of the Month award for December, while Interim Manager Renee Slegers was voted as the Barclays WSL Manager of the Month. Slegers will lead the team into Sunday’s game as the Interim Manager while an appointment for the permanent position is finalised.
FA giving consideration to the players and fans! Whatever next?
Weather forecast does not look good. Below freezing temps every night, early evening until the next mid-morning next 3 nights.
