Rosicky allowed to skip Czech qualifiers

Tomas Rosicky won’t take part in the Czech Republic’s last two World Cup qualification games after Arsenal expressed concern that the player could exacerbate the muscle problem from which he has only just recovered.

The 33-year-old midfielder injured his calf against Italy during the last international break but despite overcoming the problem to play for the Gunners against Napoli and West Brom in the last week has heeded the advice of Arsene Wenger’s medical team and won’t play against Malta or Bulgaria.

The Czech Republic coach, Vladimir Smicer, appears to have accepted the decision knowing his side have only an outside chance of qualifying for next summer’s World Cup following a disastrous campaign which recently included defeat against Armenia.

Rosicky will join the likes of Mathieu Flamini, Mikel Arteta and Kieran Gibbs at the training ground this week as they prepare for the visit of Norwich on 19 October. It’s also believed he’ll spend some quality time alphabetising his collection of vintage vinyl and may go for a bike ride or two

Jenkinson will be with the England U21 squad.

Dave

Looks like Kieran Gibbs is also joining England team.

mic

the blogger knows all about sucking cock, he regulary sucks the penis of arsene wenger and fists his asshole

the blogger loves to swallow hot cum and lick the shit off a hairy asshole

Jack in the Box

aren’t Theo, Cazorla and Podolski also at the training ground?

bendtner's pink boot

A Tota 90 snood? Just whoa.

Jagger

Thank god there is someone with a modicum of intelligence at international level.

vortura

Will someone please get Rosicky a bloody bicycle helmet?

goonerdal

We will be firing on all cylinders once all the players return from the intnl break. this particular break is a welcomed one from me. it was getting too intense and our thin squad was starting to show…..

hopefully no injuries. coyg

As the Boss would say: We all love Tomas Rosicky!

Remember the invincibles because we aren't good anymore

Love his energy. At age 33 he could show those 18 year olds a thing a two. Fantastic player, just wish he could be fit in longer spells than he has been thus far

In football age he is only 26… 😉

Ruskin

What a dude.

Good Omens

He looks like he’s going mackerel fishing in that photo. I like mackerel. Good old Tomas.

masterofthegoonaverse

Grilled or smoked?

Hugo

This is really good news. Was concerned that he would play two games for the Czechs and get injured again.

You could see the impact he made yesterday too. Hope he starts more. We need him more than the Czechs.

>Praying for Giroud, Ramsey, Mertesacker and Özil

Bernardinho

Koscienly, Sir Chezzers?

Jay Song

This is great news! I wish this common sense happened years before! Players getting rested for needless friendlies!!

Edu's fake passport

World cup qualifiers aren’t usually classed as friendlies!!

themenoffside

just for the record – smicer is not a coach, not even temporary, that is pešice. smicer is a manager, in a technical sense, a custodian, shall we say

BooYah

Makes him a definite starter v Norwich along with Cazorla. Should be a spanking for the Canaries!

MyArsenalView

I bet the we tried to pursuade the Danish FA to keep Bendtner.

Remember the invincibles because we aren't good anymore

When is Sana-go-go back

I can see Rosicky retiring from International football, should Czech Republic fail to qualify (highly likely) for the WC. Think he could prolong his career for atleast 2 – 3 more years. At 33, his experience is very vital for Arsenal if we are to win something. Stay fit Rockstar!

karthik shandilya

He has to stay fit as he is very vital for us to win anything .

Arseblood

Footballistically, he’s only 28 years old!

Yawe

I can’t believe he’s 33 already. Time moves so fast.

dan

He certainly doesn’t play like he’s 33 though. He still has so much pace!

TV5

Is Santi travelling with Spain?

UFB

Apparently not. I believe Mata has been called instead. I guess Santi must be disapointed, but I really hope he can stay in Lodon and work on his fitness

Goontang

Id love to see a rosicky banner go up at the emirates. A true arsenal man. You could even copy jacky boys arsenal dna one and everyone would understand what it means.

Would love to see the guy end his career here too. With a trophy or two in his cabinet. Just dont know how he keeps getting older, yet seems to be gaining more pace strength and stamina.

Mark

I just hope we will have returnees from the break plus injury returnees as well cos i mis cazorla

CescuallyFrustrated

Total 90 still exists? And why does Rosicky always wear his beanie backwards lol

AP

Now just need to bargain for resting Ramsey also.

Tapscotts Testicles

I hope Ramsey doesnt play for Wales ….. Pretty pointless risking that knee against playing in games with Wales when they can no longer qualify. Coleman’s job is on the line though and with Bale already out it would be typical if Coleman pushea Aaron to play. Put your foot down Arsene…

Piers Morgan's punchable face

Wales are still playing for their co-efficient – well that’s what they’d say in response to that anyway.

Rafa

Ever wonder why there are some players who you just can’t help to love? I mean with all the vitriol spewed by fans I never hear of anyone not liking him; what is it that makes him be so darn lovable? I mean what kind of monster doesn’t love Super Tommy?

arsesicky

I’m not sure why he generates so much goodwill, but to be honest the only thing that I would change about rosicky is injuries. He can pass, dribble, shoot (well he used to be able to), harry the opposition and up the tempo. I’m descended from Czech immigrants (my first football memory was watching Czech republic vs. Gemany euro 96 final with my grandather, damn golden goal), and what can I say? We’re a lovable lot! You don’t see many Czech prima-donnas…

Gas

I love this guy. Out of all the players, I think he loves the club the most too. There’s Arsenal running through his veins. Yes he’s had his fair amount of injuries, but I really feel he could be a legend here if he retires with us. I wish we could clone him and make a bunch of younger versions of him, but with less treatment needed. A Rosicky 2.0 would be a world beater. The only player that could have replaced Bobby, he just never quite hit the same heights because of those darn injuries. I wish he scores… Read more »

Trez

I remember the good old days of rosicky being rated 91 on fifa, injuries really ruined his career. A fit Rosicky, inform Arshavin, Nasri, Cesc, Song and Rvp was def a killer team and deserved to win something…i just hope he wins a trophy with us before he retires.

Edu's fake passport

Why does it always revert back to Fifa.

Fuck Fifa

konami

love pro ev

always above spurs

Rosicky rejected 1400000£ contract from anzhi in 2011 to stay with us ..all hail rosicky

lordgunner

and he took a paycut to sign a new contract last time too

Ozgun

Yes my hat is off to ‘Tom Terrific.’ Whenever he graces the pitch, be it 25, 50, 75 or 100 per cent fit he only knows one way to play. Flat out with no regard for his own well being. What a warrior he’s been for us over the years. He’s had shocking luck with injuries but he won’t quit his beloved Arsenal. If we had 3 or 4 more like him to add to Mesut, Santi, Rambo, Jack and Flambo we would dominate European football. Cheers for the ‘little big man.’

Shz

Common sense prevails.

Gooner

He looks like Mark Wahlberg in this photo.

SAgunner
Gutbukkit Deffrolla

Glad he will be given a rest. Now all we need to do is get a scout to the Czech games to check out the young player(s) filling in for him. You never know where the next gem will come from.
