18 – Mesut Özil and Frankenribery lead all players with 18 chances created in Champions League play* this season (Benzema also has 18, passing the ball to Ronald)
4 – Özil, however, has only created 4 shots for teammates in 3 away games and Frankenribery has created 14 of his 18 chances at the Allianz Arena – Ribery has also shot 5 times in home games in Champions League play, meaning he has created or shot 19 times this season in home games in Champions League play
19 – Arsenal have the fewest shots per game of all teams in Champions League play having taken just 19 shots in 3 games for an average of 6.3
68 – Bayern Munich have taken 147 shots in the Champions League so far, 68 of those were at home
28 – Frankenribery has created or taken 28% of Bayern’s shots in Champions League play at home
8 – In Champions League play Arjen Robben has created 8 of Bayern’s home shots, but has taken 11 shots for himself at home, usually by drifting inside on his left leg — you ever see Robben go right? Anyway, that means Robben has taken or created 19 shots… sound familiar?
56 – Robben and Ribery combined have either taken or created 56% of Bayern Munich’s 68 shots at home in Champions League play
3 – Robben and Ribery have combined for 3 goals at home in Champions League play and they have also created 3 assists — the Champions have scored 10 goals at home in Champions League play
3 – Arsenal have only scored 3 away goals in Champions League play this season, 2 by Ramsey and 1 by Theo Walcott
8 – Arsenal have only scored 8 goals total in Champions League play this season,
5 – Counting the qualifying round, Ramsey has scored 5 of Arsenal’s 13 total Champions League goals, he’s also Arsenal’s leading tackler, leads Arsenal with 10 total shots (tied with Giroud), leads Arsenal in passes per game, and in through balls (tied with Wilshere), yadda yadda, he’s not playing, is he?
5 – Özil, Sagna, Gibbs, and Giroud have all combined for 5 assists in Champions League play this season
4 – Last season Giroud led Arsenal with 4 assists in Champions League play and Lukas Podolski led Arsenal with 4 goals. Arsenal are going to need them to step up in this game to have a real chance to go through
10 – Since December 22nd 2013 Bayern Munich have played 10 matches in all competitions
17 – Since December 22nd 2013 Arsenal Football Club have played 17 matches in all competitions
10 – Podolski played in 10 of those 17 matches (playing 90 minutes just once), scoring 4 goals including the winner over Liverpool in the FA Cup
So, Arsenal have no chance, right? We are worst in shots per game in away matches (6.3), 25th in shots on goal (2.7), worst in tackles per game away (13.7), 13th in shots conceded (15 per game), all of our best players are out, and they are one of the best teams at home, with their best players are available.
Not only that but Bayern are on a 49 game unbeaten run in Bundesliga play, have only conceded 11 (league) goals in that period, and all the other stats that you’ve already probably read somewhere else.
Podolski, Giroud, Ox and Özil (Europe’s best playmaker) our only hope going forward and Arsenal going to need to be extra tight at the back to prevent Ribery and Robben raiding our lines. Still, the last two times Bayern lost at home were to Arsenal (2-0) and Man City (3-2). So there’s still hope, right?
Ox released down the right, after a perfect ball from Özil, forces Neuer into a mistake, Arsenal get the early goal and a red card for their keeper! That’ll do nicely.

*All Champions League numbers exclude the qualifying rounds unless otherwise stated.
I say down with/enough of the stats.
I’ll enjoy the stats after our win…

Thumbs up just for “Nik of time” – brilliant
Awesome.
If the ref is impartial we can do it…..we have the quality to do it….fuck the stats ..I believe in wenger and our warriors …ox can make a big difference with his runs.. although bayern have a advantage with those two cheating cunts upfront(robbery…ribery+robben)..

Final Whistle 1-3 to Arsenal. Bring on Real. I can only wish.
The best team in europe away to the defending champions of europe. It will make for a classic viewing. Coyg

No matter what the outcome is.. play your heart out gooners.
Time zones aaargh, is kickoff at 6h45 or 7h45 London time?
It’s 19:45 according to Arsenal.com.
Oh ok thanks, saw @7amkickoff below the article above, and had flashbacks of missing the first half of the 2-2 draw against Barcelona.
The best team in europe away to the defending champions of europe. It will make for a classic viewing. I Have this feeling that the serge and the ox will play. Coyg
Slightly off topic but relevant to your ‘name’, has anyone seen this piece of shit? http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2567304/ADRIAN-DURHAM-What-Dennis-Bergkamp-deserve-statue-Emirates.html
OMG I’ve got nothing against the other guys but FFS we’re talking about G*d here. Our G*d.
Well, those stats were pretty depressing. Then again, going into this match with low expectations is probably the right approach. No pressure at all, just go out there and have a go. If it doesn’t work out, it doesn’t work out – reset mentally and prepare for upcoming Spurs match.
I’m fairly relaxed about the whole thing, especially after this weekend. Things just seem a bit brighter after the FA cup results.
Regardless of results I look forward to what will hopefully be a good game between two excellent teams.
Who are you? mother theresa??
I want a dirty rotten stodgy match strewn with free kicks and time wasting
as long as we win and go through..
ill save my pretty football for when we have the league tied up and are getting ready for our two finals
I’m Runkeball!
jus made my order to the Arsenal club and wenger himself made the response. he was like “one (3-1) win coming right up. COYG
why the fuck didn’t you order that against stoke? and city, manu , liverpool and chelsea
i mean we’d have won the leagu by now…
STOP PLAYING WITH OUR MINDS
2 – number of Robben’s bollocks I hope get paid a visit by Flamini’s proper black football boots.
Ribery is a monster.like both on the field and his face.wenger being french would have easily snap him up last time.if only we are more $$ stable and more bold to recognise how a player like this would have won us trophies for the past years.
Anyone who suggests a Bayern cunt would have been better off at the Arsenal gets The UEFA Official Match-day Ball® up their ass.
i don’t care what the result will be…but i want bayern to feel the heat…i have a feeling ox will score/assist
We have nothing to lose, so lets go out there and give a little reminder as to what The Arsenal can do. COYG!
Let’s show Bayern, the media and all the people that have written us off for this game the middle finger.
We are the Arsenal, we can do it, we just have to believe.
Ox will be the difference.
COYG!!!
Stats are just stats … for me it’s 50/50.
Because I feel the pressure is on them, not us.
We could get trashed trying to hard too hard to get these 2 goals but we might grab an early goal, keep them at bay and put the doubt in their minds.
I have no special expectation from this game but I’m sure it’s gonna be a great game and who knows? Nothing is impossible
A wounded tiger is much more dangerous. Time to shine
I don’t understand this:
19 – Arsenal have the fewest shots per game of all teams in Champions League play having taken just 19 shots in 3 games for an average of 6.3
Haven’t we played 7 CL games so far?
And no mention of Santi 🙁
Personally, I would like to see Mesut Ozil make the Germans boo this week as well.
The Bundesliga is just the Scottish Prem but with better beer: one team, and then the rest. BM are just not used to playing against proper opposition at the Allianz, they think they are entitled to win.
Fucking straight into them lads, straight into them from the off.
You are by far the greatest team the world has ever seen.
I think it’s also worth mentioning that arsenal were in a group with Dortmund, Napoli and Marseille while Bayern only had Citeh (who beat them) Victoria Plebnan and CSKA. It’s not like comparing PL stats where we’ve played against the same team’s
Great name Hurensohn!
i had a dream this morning that we were two nil up with ten minutes left to go. then i had to get up. it was difficult. it felt so real! PREMONITION?
A very tough one! Hoping for the best cos we could easily get blown away.
I just want a respectable result, tbh. I would be happy with an amazing performance from everyone even if we don’t go through. No red cards, dodgy refereeing, divings, injuries and whatnot. Just a proper game.
Please.
I’m sorry but I have to say this. This Bayern media love in is getting on my nerves. How much did they really pay for that stadium? and those sponsorship deals with other German companies, how much are they really getting off those? But no one looks at that, they only look at “Bayern pay half of fans ticket for Arsenal game” Well guess what, Arsenal have pay their own way! We are not City in disguise like them!! If both teams were actors Arsenal would be Guy Pearce – successful but not quite A list, but never make a… Read more »
Apart from our team missing ramsey, theo the pace of gibbs & its an away game with 2 goals down just play well bayern are not unbeatable but our running bundesliga by a margin, coyg
A win should be enough to go into the premier league clash with spurds….they’ll be hoping to revenge and get back in line for their top 4 hope
