Makes sense to go with this lineup but I would’ve liked to see ox and giroud come in for Ozil and Walcott. I feel pep is gonna target Ozil just like klopp did with Dortmund and we could use giroud as an outlet and defending corners and free kicks. Could use the strength and directness of ox too.
Honestly I expect us to start exactly the way we started against man utd, get at their faces and dont let them pass the ball for the opening 20mins, press them high up the pitch and see what we might get, afterall.. We have nothing to lose since we lost our first two games already to lower teams. COYG!
Lewandowski is on form but I watched him against Ireland and if John O’Shea can keep a lid on him for most of the game so can Mert/Kos
All(apart from our two cb’s) out attack from the very first minute.. Bayern are very good but last two seasons before ozil missed that penalty we saw they crumble under high pressing so why not try it again? We lost to dinamo and olympiacos losing to bayern is no disgrace so I suggest we have nothing to lose!
