Whispers abound that Arsenal are set to sign 20 year old left-back Cohen Bramall from Hednesford Town.
They play in the Northern Premier League Premier Division so it would be a massive step up for the player but he obviously impressed during a recent trial with the club.
The official Hednesford Town website reported on December 22nd, “After an outstanding performance in a trials game earlier this week for Sheffield Wednesday, we can now confirm that Pitmen defender Cohen Bramall has been invited for a two day trial and assessment with Premier League side Arsenal.
“It was during the trial game for the Yorkshire club that the exciting young defender was spotted by an Arsenal scout.”
Then this Tweet today suggested a deal has been done.
Hearing Arsenal have won the race to sign Hednesford Town's Cohen Bramall, the 20-year-old left-back. Will be confirmed this week #AFC

Beyond that, we don’t know very much about him as you’d expect – the Northern Premier League Premier Division isn’t really on our radar.
Let’s see what happens but it’s clear Arsenal have been on the lookout for a young left-back for some time, with players like Leicester’s Ben Chilwell and Celtic’s Kieran Tierney linked in recent times.
If this is true, then welcome to Cohen Bramall.
I hope this doesn’t indicate any change in Gibbs status. I would like see him continue fighting for that LB starting position.
Hednesford Town to Arsenal – he’s probably thinking someone’s pranking him.
Imagine being him right now. I’d be excited about joining a League Two team if I were in his position. Absolutely surreal.
Hope he’s able to keep a level head and work hard to give himself the best possible chance at a career at this level.
Good luck to him.
What about a backup for Bellerin? If there is one spot in the team that doesn’t have sufficient cover, its right back. Centerbacks as fullbacks often only works for so long.
Maitland Niles is the most Bellerin like of players
Hopefully a bellerin v2
We’ve been hearing about this kind of move from the club. They’ve hinted they want to be able to make savvy signings from the lower leagues (hopefully in addition to spending the money when it’s necessary.)
I thought it was Deli Ali for a minute!
Tough crowd on here tonight 🙁
That’s who he reminded me of! I got this nasty Spurs feeling when I first saw the picture..
hmm does this mean, Gibbs is staying and will become our number one choice there with this young lad as his understudy?
Meanwhile in other news, PSG sign Draxler and Chelsea win the race against Arsenal for Wolfsburg’s left back Rodriguez.
We can’t compete anymore.
Have a bit of positivity, given we still have some quality players. Draxler clearly didn’t fancy arsenal at all, he’s been engineering that move to psg since last summer. I’d be more concerned about what we’re getting out of our current players rather than missing out on players who don’t want to join us
It’s 3-0 to Bournemouth. Every year, all the signs tell you we are not a PL winning team. Every year, my positivity is a must.
We are pacing ourselves in a league which doesn’t forgive that.
Oh fuck me. I bet you’re disappointed we didn’t sign the whole of Brazil.
I read that for us to buy someone we’d need to sell Gibbs first to free up funds.
FREE UP FUNDS?? YOU MAD FAM?!
