Wenger seems to be going for more defensive solidarity on the left having both Monreal and Gibbs playing.
I wonder when Lucas will return to the squad. He’s a better option than Walcott to start games or as a sub.

Why the fuck is Giroud starting? He was awful in the semi, we were much better with Welbeck up front, ridiculous!
Giroud did well as target for out balls, Welbz came on when Kompany was tiring and looked good,, Welbz as starter hasn’t impressed.
No Welbeck’s movement is light years ahead of Giroud. Giroud is the better finisher. That’s it.
Yeah Giroud is there basically because our midfield game is rubbish and we need the option to bypass it.

feel we have too many left boots out there, especially w gibbs. it seems to really slow down our play having so many players needing to cut back and switch on to their favored foots. one of the real reasons we miss santi so much.

Since this morning I’ve been so excited for this game! I know it’s not very top European clubish of me to be this excited for a game that is important to win for a champions league spot. But you know what, I don’t care! Today, this game is like the finalest of all finals for me this season. If we win this, Sp*rs title chances are pretty much over!!

Giroud needs to rough up them centre halfs today. It’s gotta be bodies on the line stuff, nothing else will do. I like this decision to have Monreal as a CB and Gibbs as a LWB, we will need that extra pace, and despite Monreal’s amazing displays in that position recently, I really think pace on the wings will play a huge role today for both teams
Welbeck would have been preferred, but I’m not going to complain about Giroud, both teams will be looking to attack a lot, so I don’t expect Giroud to be completely deprived of the ball. I expect him to get chances, and hopefully he will take them.

Why is Giroud starting?? What the heck is wrong with Wenger?? Two games this guy has started in the 3-4-3 and he hasn’t done well. This is an opportunity to close the gap and wenger goes and does this. Spurs will press the shit out of us even more comfortably now knowing Giroud isn’t quick enough to run behind.
