Arsene Wenger says that the demanding attitude of Jens Lehmann will help his squad as they prepare for a new season.
The former German international was brought back to the club earlier this month as a first team coach, and anyone who knows anything about him knows what kind of a character he is.
He wants to win, and gives 100% all of the time, even in training. He won’t put up with any nonsense, and the Arsenal manager believes those qualities will have a positive impact on the team.
“He has a demanding attitude and can give his desire to win to the players, to help them achieve their targets,” he told Arsenal Player.
“He can also give good advice because he has gone through periods where it was not easy for him, where it wasn’t all going well, and I believe his rigorous attitude to his career is similar to Per Mertesacker.
“It’s important that a team is surrounded by people like that. He’s still highly motivated and that motivation never goes.
“When you want to do things well, I don’t think that ever changes.”

Idea for a TV programme:
Jens Lehmann and Santi Cazorla travel to Reno, Nevada to try and make it as Burlesque dancers in an Apocalypse Now themed gentlemens club.
My idea for a TV programme: Winning the league against Sp*rs and making them stand as guard of honour with John Terry moonlighting as their hen mascot*, while Per in his final act as playing captain lifts the PL trophy 🙂
(*it saddens me that this meant we clinched the title at Wembley rather than WHL)
Imagine the legacy if he wouldn´t have been sent off in the CL final and Arsenal had won the match 1-0. That would have meant that Jens kept a clean sheet throughout all the knockout stages – against Real Madrid, Juve and Villareal and then Barca in the final.
would have been amazing, but I feel that if Jens hadn’t brought the player down, they would have scored 100%. Still think we would have won though.
