Arsenal face Chelsea at the Emirates tonight, knowing they really need three points to keep up with the chase for a top four spot.
It’s a task made more difficult by injuries to key players, so let’s hope we can cope.

Make Jack captain and thanks goodness Iwobi isn’t playing. He needs to play in the second team or go out on loan as we can’t afford to have 2nd rate players in the team. Good to see Holding and Chambers, however they get on. Stuck in Norfolk because of the winds and hate missing games and watching on TV.
Iwobi is second rate but you’re happy to see holding and chambers? Interesting. I Think they all have good potential though.
As defenders, both chambers and holding have proven themselves to be reliable more often than not, as defenders need to be. Attacking midfielders need to be creative, or pose a goal threat themselves. More often than not, Iwobi fails to do that. He needs composure to make the right decisions, so we should be starting him in europa league or cup games.

It’s not the centre halves I worry about so much as the lack of cover from the midfield ahead of them and AMN being at left back, where Liverpool had a bit of a field day against him (though to reiterate, it’s not his fault that he’s playing out of position).

To be fair to AMN, though, Salah has been having so much joy against every left back in the league (world?) lately, that he really did alright IMO. I think he may’ve gotten caught out of position for their 2nd, but the rubbish defending that night was not all his fault.
It’s pointless to worry about AMN at left back. We have no alternative to him.
I am exited by our young look back 3. Let’s hope they step up.

Mustafi has to take the lead at the back…needs to be calm and not go all Gung ho.
Wenger gambling on that defense again. He could have used the Chambers -Holding pairing in minor pl games and build up slowly their confidence but ”ignored them ” and i the injury god forced him once again to throw them in a big game with a lot of pressure. If the kids slip up and we get goals against they are going to be slaughtered by media and some fans; It is not a way to develop what could be a promising partnership. Hope they step up and COYG. We can nick a win or a draw.
Wenger has rotated the midfield well and made the most out of the deep squad. Jack and Granit must be well fresh for this one
