Mesut Ozil, Mohamed Elneny and Alex Iwobi will return from holiday in time to participate in Arsenal’s pre-season jaunt to Singapore.
The trio is currently on holiday after their respective disappointments at the World Cup. They’ve got another 10 days off before they report back to London Colney to be worked into a sweaty mess by the new coaching staff.
Unai Emery’s Gunners will take on Atletico Madrid and Paris Saint Germain on Thursday 26 July and Saturday 28 July at the Singapore National Stadium as part of the International Champions Cup.
In addition to the two matches, the first team will also step up their pre-season preparations on the training ground before embarking on a few meet-and-greets with local fans.
We’re guessing here, but we wouldn’t be surprised if the club launches the new Puma third kit out in Singapore as well.
Either side of the trip to the Far East, Unai Emery has his debut at Boreham Wood this Saturday and then friendlies with Chelsea in Dublin and Sevilla in Stockholm.
The Gunners start their Premier League campaign against Manchester City on Sunday 12 August, a match that will be broadcast live on Sky Sports.
That’s great news for us fans here!!! 🙂
18 tickets I have booked!!
If they are launching the third kit, I hope it’s into the ocean. That thing is an abomination.
it looks like a Fizzy Chewit with an Arsenal badge on. Damn I really like Chewits. Might have to get me some.
Marginally better than the ‘test stripe’/’paint sample’/’bar code’ 3rd kit we had a few years back. That one was incredibly bad.
Boreham wood sounds about right, third kit, woo…
Hopefully whilst there Arsenal can negotiate a good transfer fee for him
Hopefully whilst there you can find another team to support.
Would not have anticipated that comment from you given your username. .but can t help but agree
I’m not even sure about a good transfer fee? If someone offered us £25mill and a chance to clear £320,000 p/w off our wage bill? I’d like to think we’d snap their arm off.
You obviously don’t recall how creatively dead in the water we were when we played without him last season.
£25 million for a world class creator that’s rich Rich
Hopefully i can double thumb you down
why pick out ozil, he is no different from the rest of the players, and its only right that he should participate in the teams warm up matches, unless his back suddenly plays up or he decides he doesn,t want to play in them
Thought you’d be at west ham now, as you have a fixation for wilshere and nothing good to say about anything Arsenal.
Rumour is that the third kit will be launched today, but Singapore would not surprise me either after launching the third kit in Sydney last year.
Yay for us fans here in SG! This’ll be the first time I’ll actually get to see the team I’ve supported for 8 years in the flesh. Many London folks don’t understand how lucky they are to get to see their favourite team week in week out.
(Also, still lowkey pissed that my suggested correction in this article https://news.arseblog.com/2018/05/gazidis-the-hard-work-starts-now/ which says that Arsenal will take on PSG in Hong Kong was not corrected)
Ozil had a bad perfomance with his national team.
If he is going to play all of Pre Season matches with arsenal then he will be back in his best form again.
