Arsenal defender Louise Quinn has signed a new deal with the club, after starring at the centre of defence during the Gunners’ WSL title winning season. Quinn was a mainstay of an Arsenal defence that was breached only 12 times in 20 games in the WSL- the best defensive record in the division.
Quinn also completed more passes than any other player in the league, after developing her technical skills. The Irish centre-half is known for her full blooded approach to defending. Louise joins Katie McCabe, Danielle van de Donk, Lisa Evans and Vivianne Miedema in extending her terms this season.

“We are very happy that Louise has signed a new contract with us,” manager Joe Montemurro told Arsenal.com.
“She has been an important part of our strong defence this season. The commitment and attitude that she transmits is very important within a strong defence.”
Quinn added, “It’s absolutely huge for me. Definitely number one is looking for that league title and putting those performances in on the pitch. Then to get a contract after is brilliant.”
Arseblog News will have an exclusive interview with Louise on the site in the coming weeks, we caught up with Quinn at London Colney last week about her time in Sweden, how she made a video of her own highlights to attract the attention of scouts, her friendship with Katie McCabe and her pride in joining other Irish Gunners greats like Emma Byrne, Yvonne Tracey and Ciara Grant on the Arsenal Wall of Fame at Colney.

CONGRATULATIONS GIRL. MORE SUCCESS
Another great call from Joe. Louise has really grown in stature this season and formed a real understanding with Leah.
If I was another WSL team I’d be very concerned reading this blog!
Let’s see how Casey Stoney’s team get on when there is opposition on the pitch and how City will fare without Nikita Parris!
Another quadruple anyone?
Congratulations Louise. Our very own Mighty Quinn. Really pleased you have signed again.???
