Come on you Gunners!

Johnny 4 Hats

Granted, front three of Liverpool are exceptional. But Matip, Tsimikas and the Ox are pretty average. I think Saka could really cause Tsimikas issues. A great team performance and we’ve got a real chance here.

COYFG!!!

*Pinky promise not to lose all hope if this goes tits up*

Parisian Weetabix

Have you watched much of Tsimikas? I’ve only watched him vaguely on a couple of occasions and thought he looked decent. He’s doubtless no Robertson though.

Johnny 4 Hats

I haven’t. But that doesn’t stop me having a very strong opinion about his shitness.

Paul

I’m excited, didn’t even view the lineup.

Paul

After looking at the lineup I’m glad Arteta didn’t tinker with anything.

The boys know the formation and the system…

May the best team win!

Andy

That’s what I’m afraid of

The Beast

No shame in losing to a better team if we perform the way we have been recently.

Just hoping we can keep it competitive & in with a shout all the way through.

Give youth a chance

I don’t know why, but I fancy us to get something from this game… Up the Arse!

Graeb

Meanwhile, I’m getting the sofa ready to hide behind!

Paul

Come on man…

What you’re feeling isn’t fear. It’s excitement… to see what this group can do.

Graeb

Just seen Sky graphic showing we’ve conceded 65 PL goals to Scousers – 19 more than any other team we’ve played.
Getting second sofa now.

Paul

Hahahahahahahahaha….

If you have more sofas, maybe we could stack them on the goal line… just behind Ramsdale.

Kostas

Not a rare team selection but seems brave for Anfield.
COYG!!

Thierry Bergkamp (non negotiable)

Not many goes to Anfield with 2 strikers. Brave from Mikel, he could easily have tried to be too clever

Stuff

I suspect Laca will have a different role unless Auba on a wing.

Teryima Adi

Come on you Gunners! They are there for the taking.
Cannons out and blazing!!!

Paul

Exactly the team I would have chosen so this may go badly?

Man Manny

This is our strongest team on form. Glad to see Tavares starting; I think that sends a good message to the players: “if you are playing well, you keep your place.”
If we avoid an early goal, anything can happen in this game.
Good luck, Gunners.

C.B.

Our first team. Hope Partey’s body copes. COYR!!!

Graeb

Only a short while ago we wouldn’t dream of a team without Tierney as being our first XI.

Billy bob

Well other results seem to be going well 😃

Rocastle07

BBC sport reporting we’re starting with 10 men Arsenal XI: Ramsdale, Tomiyasu, White, Gabriel, Saka, Sambi Lokonga, Partey, Smith Rowe, Lacazette, Aubameyang.
Loving Arteta’ confidence in the lads 🤣

chepetin

That’ll teach you to trust BBC Sport

Graeb

?

shokim

We can do it. COYG!

Walter White

Ideal lineup! “Pleased” to see Tavares starting ahead of Tierney. His pace and physicality suits this game, especially on the counter and 1v1 vs Salah and Trent. And he doesn’t deserved to be dropped despite Tierney being quality.

ThreadRipper

Also glad to see that nobody’s spot is guaranteed.

TUMANG

We came we saw we shall conquer!

Teryima Adi

Amen🙏🙏🙏

BongoGooner

Uhhh nuno over KT
COYG

Artetist

Very good! This is confirmation if any was needed that this is the system, he’s finally found it!! And once you do, you don’t give it up for no 1..Damn let’s DO them Arsenal, Iet’s do it for the espn pundit’s!!!

ThreadRipper

Poor Ole..

Give youth a chance

Hope he’s not about to be sacked.

Love what he’s doing at Man U…

Momozemio

1 – 2 for the Arsenal
30 – 21 for France against the All Black
A bottle of red wine, and that would be just fine
COYG💪

Viju Jacob

Sad that AMN missed out, when it is prudent that AMN’s steel & speed that will back up Nuno against Salah & Trent. I’m splitting hairs here, but Sambi is a bit light (brilliant footballer though) against Liverpool, imho. It’s a wise decision not to start KT in this game, so I’m pretty confident we will go all out for a win. VVD is suspect (one of our lads sorted him out in the same game last season but we didn’t make it matter) and when isolated and he definitely is one of their weak points. Two regulars not there… Read more »

Brady’s bunch

Let’s have it, see where we’re at

Kostas

Mane needs a Holding

Hakuna Matata

Too many Unnecessary fouls. That auba tackle that produced the freekick leading to the goal was unnecessary

shokim

Hope Mane gets a second yellow in the second half

Viju Jacob

Mane has been blatant in his cheating this match…goes down easily when he feels a hand on his back, but has been blatant in his fouls & getting away with it 😡

Kentish Gooner

Should have been off in the first.

The Far Post

Partey doesn’t seem ready for this intensity. Otherwise, love the energy we’re putting in so far. When Klopp gets agitated, usually it means the opposition is getting to them. Hope we’ll continue to give it our all in the second half. COYG

Alan Sunderland

Partey hasn’t seemed ready since the day he signed, he’s been awful so far.

Kentish Gooner

Is it just me or should Mane have
been sent off in the first half? So many fouls and only booked after harassing Tommy for 45 mins. Happy to be wrong though, just madness. All the pundits creaming over Liverpool too…

leon

Arteta reacting to Klopp was the catalyst to this heavy defeat – it roused the crowd which spurred their team on.
Its just one game that we all expected to lose. As long as they learn from this which they will do it will make the team stronger.
Lots of positives in this Arsenal team – sometimes it takes a big knock to take you to that next level…

SarcasmB0T

Nonsense. I really, really dislike Arteta’s touchline antics – they strike me as nervy and undignified at the best of times – but it had fuck all to do with the loss.

The game was lost on the pitch.

Lacaubapepe

This is on the players not arteta. Can’t see what he did wrong today frankly.

RobC

This is on the fact that, at the moment, we’re an inferior team in every aspect (players, manager, back room staff, etc.). Did not expect anything different (few weeks ago I predicted 5-0) . Only good outcome is seeing arteta going at that shithead of Klopp with blood in his eyes. I wish this team could be a bit nastier while the process goes on…

SarcasmB0T

I partially disagree. I think they players worked hard and executed a game plan.
The game plan gave Liverpool possession and initiative for the vast majority of the game.
I don’t necessarily want to blame Arteta, though – Liverpool is simply miles ahead of us.

Alan Sunderland

Our midfield and fullbacks played very poorly. We couldn’t get our attacking players on the ball, same as against Leicester. I don’t think it was the plan to concede possession, our midfield is not up to getting a foothold in a game when it’s not going our way.
