For the second time this season, Arsenal have hit four goals past a Brentford side at London Colney.
Two weeks after losing to the Bees in the opening game of the season, the Gunners invited the west London side to the training ground and exacted revenge with a 4-0 spanking that included two goals by Cedric.
This time around, a mix-and-match Arsenal XI beat Brentford’s B team 4-1.
Alex Lacazette bagged a hat-trick (a classic from the ‘If a tree falls in a forest and no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound’ genre) and Rob Holding also got on the scoresheet.
It’s relatively easy to get Brentford to agree to friendly matches. They ditched their academy in 2016 and spend most of the time waiting by the phone in case anybody fancies challenging their reserves.
We also faced them in June 2020, losing 3-2 on that occasion.

Last night I had my Butler bring me a Swanson dinner of Ideho potatoes Sousa’d with a Bandeira salsa. It left me Holding my Biereth in anticipation. Azeezily the best meal I’ve ever had, even if it did Laca certain je ne sais kwo.
