He did up his game. He was excellent v Brentford and then dropped for tactical reasons (i.e. Salah) v Liverpool. That tactical reason is gone so to see him still on the bench behind a guy who doesn’t play in his position is harsh. To me anyway – just an opinion !

Hope Arteta is not overdoing because of success. He told KT it wasn’t because of performance but about tactics. Today we are playing Leeds.
Tierney played 3 days ago, seems sensible to rotate him. He’ll likely get the PSV game midweek.
May appear harsh but this is the reality we and the team have to live with in our upward trajectory.
The interest of the team has to come first. Tomi once lost his place too and seems to be working his way back up. KT is a professional and I expect him to work more and he’ll surely get his chances again.
Arteta’s tactical choices have brought us maximum results this season so far except Man U. At this stage it’s either we trust him or we don’t. He has nothing against KT. This decision is for the greater good. “Harsh” is too harsh a word to use in describing this decision to play Tomi instead of KT.

Agree. But calling the decision to play Tomi instead of KT “harsh” is pretty much a symptom of “personality cult”. This is a tactical decision. It doesn’t diminish KT as an great LB in anyway

His passing lacks guile, is way too conservative. And he’s not comfortable with the ball. He always seems to want to get rid of the ball asap when the first opportunity is cut off and reverts to passing backward. Watching him play makes me nervous

I take that phrase as meaning that the player(s) would get into a “world best” squad, if one existed. We can’t seriously say that any of our defenders are in that elite group yet – although you never know in the future.
Wow! This team is showing its depth is unconventional ways. Suddenly, a left back position which was so light last season (we played Xhaka there) now has Tierney and Zinchenko out and Tomi in? Wow!I really think if we sign another defensive midfielder in January, we should really compete for the title. Exciting times. COYG!!!

Strong team that should pick up all the points. With Sp*rs winning and City likely (although not certain) to get the points at Anfield, we really need all three points from the trip to Leeds. In this busy month, we also need to get through what’s likely to be a “challenging” game physically with no injuries or cards of either colour, if possible.
