Amario Cozier-Duberry has demonstrated his ability all season at U21 level and last night the 17-year-old showed what he could do in a first-team fixture.
Cozier-Duberry featured as a substitute in the defeat to Juventus at Emirates Stadium and certainly wasn’t fazed by the occasion, with his direct running causing problems for the opposition.
The winger usually plays on the right flank for the U21s but he was deployed on the left against Juventus and is capable of performing effectively on either side.
Having been involved with the first-team throughout the Winter break, from the friendly against Watford to the trip to Dubai and now the Juventus game, Cozier-Duberry will certainly have given Mikel Arteta something to think about in terms of further opportunities in the near future.
Arteta was already fully aware of Cozier-Duberry’s ability having named him on the bench against Basel in the Europa League in September.
A competitive debut for the first-team surely can’t be far away for Cozier-Duberry, who also has experience of playing at left-back and in midfield.
Cozier-Duberry was involved with the U18s for the first game of the season but it was quickly established that he needed to step up to the U21s.
Now it is already getting to the stage where he could soon be above U21 level. A loan spell could well be on the cards at some point but for now Cozier-Duberry will be aiming to challenge for involvement with the senior squad.

Emi!!! one of our own is the best keeper in the world. What a legend.
Loved his best keeper in the tournament celebration !!!
The cock gesture summed him up well.
Arsenal fans love nice guys who fall short when it matters.
Oh fuck off.
Preferably back up the Seven Sisters road.
Emi is not one of our own. Our own are not petty little pricks that shit upon the Arsenal the moment they leave it. In case forgoten he stated that he went t A.Vila because they are biger club and because he wanted to win the tropheys he could never win with Arsenal.
Once a gunner, always a gunner. Some forgot who they were too quickly.
I couldn’t work out who I wanted to see cry more, Guendouzi or Emi.
But given that Matteo didn’t shed a tear, I feel utterly shortchanged.
Psychopaths don’t cry.
Village idiot and a hat for the bottom those two.
Guendouzi cost France the WC.
If he hadn’t wound up Maupay. Maupay wouldn’t have smashed Leno. Martinez wouldn’t have had a chance to play regularly. He wouldn’t play for Argentina and make the saves that won them the world cup.
I endorse this theory. It’s all Guendouzi’s fault.
Said a spurs fan
I thought his antics were over the top and to resort to blatant gamesmanship bordering on cheating sums up everything that is wrong with the game these days.
His movement before the French penalties were taken wasn’t cool. Neither was his stupid play acting and general twatting about, as though someone had dropped an E in his beer.
Great player, but ultimately no class. Perfect for Argentina then, in other words.
We need to buy Kolo Muani for his fighting spirit. Deschamps had it commpletely wrong and got “saved” by this guy and Mbappe.
We have a player called Duberry.
This is something I have been waiting for, for thirty years.
The Cozier bit we will just have to let slide I think
Duberry is another Saka in the making… The lad is talented.
Is there any possibility of Arsenal signing Fofana?
Which Fofana?
The Boy was by far the best and brightest of all squad players that have played last night. Apart of Odøgard I can’t think of anyone else that have had better game last night. I was totally awed by the Cozier-Dubbery especially in comparison with Marquinhos and Vieira who were deployed on rhe wings last night. Quick, direct, skillful, daring and more than a handfull for the Juve defence. Marquinhos needs to be loaned out ASAP since he is fazed more than he should be. There might be a player in him but at the moment he is just afraid… Read more »
I thought I was the only one frustrated with the amount of endless crosses we were making. Tierney especially. Surely that can’t have been Arteta’s instructions.
Cozier-Duberry on the other hand, absolutely fantastic.
All these youngsters we have with double barrelled names.
What if they all break through to the first team and eventually become worldies like Saka?
Can you imagine being a commentator trying to keep up with all the slick one touch passing at speed? 😂
