Arsenal Women have added Swedish coach Patrick Winqvist to the coaching staff ahead of the second half of the season. The 46-year-old worked as assistant to Head Coach Jonas Eidevall at his previous club Rosengard.
Winqvist joins Leanne Hall and Aaron D’Antino as an assistant coach. D’Antino and Hall were both in post when Eidevall was appointed in the summer of 2021. This is Eidevall’s first senior coaching appointment since his arrival.

Winqvist has spent the last year as an assistant at Mjallby and has previously managed Trelleborg and IF Bromma U21. The majority of the Arsenal team returned to training on Tuuesday with the whole team expected back in the next couple of days. The Gunners restart their season with a game against Chelsea at Emirates Stadium at 12noon on Sunday, 15th January.
Err…
Welcome?
Don’t know the chap nor whether he is any good but I wasn’t aware that we needed more coaches.
We could do with some additional fit players to take on Chelsea in 10 days so any chance we can turn some of the transfer rumours into reality, Jonas?
I share your views on this, what we need now is players to replace Beth and viv, while they are injured or does Jonas given up on winning the league this season too?
And Jordan! But I don’t think Jonas has given up on the WSL or the Champions League, not at all.
